Journal ArticleDOI

The search of proper oxygen carriers for chemical looping partial oxidation of carbon

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple and easy to use method based on the zone division of Ellingham diagram was offered to distinguish the oxidation ability of various metal oxides, and three zones including complete oxidation, partial oxidation and inert zones were divided.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation, characterization and long-term antibacterial activity of Ag–poly(dopamine)–TiO2 nanotube composites

TL;DR: In this article, a simple and efficient approach for the loading of Ag nanoparticles on poly(dopamine)-modified TiO2 nanotubes (PDA-TNTs) was used to prepare a Ag nanoparticle-poly(Dopamine)-TiO 2 nanotube composite (Ag-PDA)-TNTS) that was applied as a long-term antibacterial agent to inhibit the growth of bacterial cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Corn stalks char from fast pyrolysis as precursor material for preparation of activated carbon in fluidized bed reactor.

TL;DR: Corn stalks char from fast pyrolysis was activated by physical and chemical activation process in a fluidized bed reactor and the surface morphology shows that physically activated carbons exhibit fibrous like structure in nature with long ridges, resembling parallel lines, whereas chemicallyactivated carbons have cross-interconnected smooth open pores without the fibrouslike structure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design and operation of a pilot plant for biomass to liquid fuels by integrating gasification, DME synthesis and DME to gasoline

TL;DR: Based on a promising process of biomass to liquid (BTL) fuels, a pilot-scale plant including gasification, direct synthesis of dimethyl ether (DME) and DME to gasoline was developed as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemical looping reforming of toluene as a biomass tar model compound over two types of oxygen carriers: 2CuO-2NiO/Al2O3 and CaFe2O4

TL;DR: In this article, two oxygen carriers, 2CuO-2NiO/Al2O3 (molar ratio) and CaFe2O4, were evaluated in a TG-FTIR and a laboratory-scale fixed bed reactor.
