Effects of cold work and sensitization treatment on the corrosion resistance of high nitrogen stainless steel in chloride solutions

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of cold work and sensitization treatment on the microstructure and corrosion resistance of a nickel-free high nitrogen stainless steel (HNSS) in 0.5 M NaCl, 3.5% NaCl and 4.5M NaCl solutions have been investigated by microscopic observations, electrochemical tests and surface chemical analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion of 2707 Hyper-Duplex Stainless Steel by Marine Pseudomonas aeruginosa Biofilm

TL;DR: Electrochemical and pit imaging analysis indicated that 2707 HDSS was not completely immune to MIC by the P. aeruginosa biofilm, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results showed a decrease in Cr content on the coupon surface beneath the biofilm.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of nitrogen on corrosion behaviour of high nitrogen martensitic stainless steels manufactured by pressurized metallurgy

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of nitrogen on microstructure and corrosion behavior of high nitrogen martensitic stainless steels manufactured by pressurized metallurgy was investigated by microscopy, electrochemical and spectroscopy analyses.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of nitrogen on corrosion behaviour of a novel high nitrogen medium-entropy alloy CrCoNiN manufactured by pressurized metallurgy

TL;DR: In this article, a novel high nitrogen medium-entropy alloy CrCoNiN was successfully manufactured by pressurized metallurgy and the microstructure and corrosion behaviour were investigated by microscopic, electrochemical and spectroscopic methods.
