Journal ArticleDOI

Photobacterium proteolyticum sp. nov., a protease-producing bacterium isolated from ocean sediments of Laizhou Bay.

TL;DR: The combined phenotypic, phylogenetic, genomic and chemotaxonomic data support this strain representing a novel species of the genus Photobacteria, for which the name Photobacterium proteolyticum sp.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tichowtungia aerotolerans gen. nov., sp. nov., a novel representative of the phylum Kiritimatiellaeota and proposal of Tichowtungiaceae fam. nov., Tichowtungiales ord. nov. and Tichowtungiia class. nov.

TL;DR: Phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA genes and genomes indicated that strain S-5007T branched within the radiation of the phylum Kiritimatiellaeota, and different metabolic features deduced from genome analysis supported the separate evolution of the proposed class and K. glycovorans L21-Fru-ABT.
Journal ArticleDOI

Alkalimarinus sediminis gen. nov., sp nov., isolated from marine sediment

TL;DR: On the basis of the phenotypic and phylogenetic data, strain FA028T should be classified as representing a novel species of a new genus within the family Alteromonadaceae, for which the name Alkalimarinus sediminis gen. nov., sp.
Journal ArticleDOI

Salinity Gradient Controls Microbial Community Structure and Assembly in Coastal Solar Salterns

TL;DR: In this article , the authors used Wendeng multi-pond saltern as a model to evaluate the prokaryotic community composition and diversity and quantify the relative importance of ecological processes across salinity gradients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Complete genome sequence of Bradymonas sediminis FA350T, the first representative of the order Bradymonadales

TL;DR: The complete genome data will provide insights into the bacterial predation pattern of strain FA350T and facilitate the investigation of the mutual interaction between predators and prey.
