A simple model for puffing/micro-explosions in water-fuel emulsion droplets
Sergei Sazhin,Oyuna Rybdylova,Cyril Crua,Morgan Heikal,Morgan Heikal,Mhadi A. Ismael,Zuhaib Nissar,Rashid A. Aziz +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a simple model for the micro-explosion of water-fuel emulsion droplets is proposed based on the assumption that a spherical water sub-droplet is located in the centre of a larger fuel droplet.
Journal ArticleDOI
A new approach to modelling micro-explosions in composite droplets
Sergei Sazhin,Tali Bar-Kohany,Zuhaib Nissar,Dmitrii Antonov,Pavel A. Strizhak,Oyuna Rybdylova +5 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigation of puffing and micro-explosion of water-in-diesel emulsion spray using shadow imaging
Mhadi A. Ismael,Morgan Heikal,A. Rashid A. Aziz,Cyril Crua,Mohmmed El-Adawy,Zuhaib Nissar,Masri B. Baharom,Ezrann Z. Zainal,null Firmansyah +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a fuel spray was injected using a microsyringe needle into a high-temperature environment to investigate the droplets' behavior and the results indicated that the secondary atomization was significantly affected by the injection pressure which reduced the dispersed droplet size and hence caused a delay in puffing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Puffing/micro-explosion in rapeseed oil/water droplets: The effects of coal micro-particles in water
TL;DR: In this article, a detailed experimental investigation of puffing and micro-explosions in composite water/rapeseed oil droplets in the presence of lignite and bituminous coal micro-particles in water was performed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Puffing/micro-explosion in composite fuel/water droplets heated in flames
TL;DR: In this article, the results of new experimental and theoretical investigations of puffing and micro-explosion of rapeseed oil/water droplets placed in ethanol and propane/butane mixture flames are presented.
