Friction and wear properties of TiB2P/Al composite

TL;DR: In this paper, a 30 vol.% TiB2P/Al composite was successfully fabricated by squeeze casting technology, and its friction and wear properties were investigated, and it was shown that in dry sliding wear mode, the friction coefficient of the composite at the steady stage was only about 0.16-0.17, while that of SiCP/Al was 0.7.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electromagnetic interfering shielding of aluminum alloy–cenospheres composite

TL;DR: In this paper, fly-ash cenosphere particles were used as mixture in aluminum matrix composite by squeeze casting method, and the electromagnetic interfering shielding effectiveness (EMISE) was investigated in the frequency range from 0.03 MHz to 1.5 GHz.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of thermal cycling on mechanical properties of AlNp/Al composite

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of different range cycling treatments on mechanical properties of AlNp/Al composite fabricated by squeeze casting were investigated, and the results showed that the mechanical properties at room temperature were greatly enhanced after thermal cycling treatments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Compressive properties of open-cell Fe–Ni foams

TL;DR: In this paper, a structure factor k was used to investigate the relationship between aspect ratio of ligaments and yield strength of open-cell Fe-Ni foams, and the results indicated yield strength increased with the decreasing aspect ratio.
