TL;DR: Findings indicate the protective role of buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) epiphyseal proteins on F‐ and As‐induced adverse changes in AChE activity as a candidate biomarker for neurotoxicity in female rats.
Abstract: The objective of this study was to determine the effect of fluoride (F) and arsenic (As) on the activity of acetylcholinesterase (AChE), a critically important nervous system enzyme, and to test the protective role of buffalo epiphyseal (pineal) proteins (BEP) in rats. Arsenic (20 mg/kg BW, intraperitoneally) and F (150 ppm, perorally) were exposed, and BEP was administered intraperitoneally (100 μ g/kg BW) along with F and As to rats for 7 days. As and F exposure significantly (p < 0.05) increased their levels in plasma and decreased the activity of AChE in plasma, RBCs, heart, and brain of rats. Interestingly, As- and F-induced inhibition of AChE activities increased As and F levels in plasma, and organs were significantly (p < 0.05) counteracted by BEP administration. These findings indicate the protective role of buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) epiphyseal proteins on F- and As-induced adverse changes in AChE activity as a candidate biomarker for neurotoxicity in female rats.

Abstract: For sustainability assessment of algal biodiesel production, life cycle analysis (LCA) offers a quantitative measure. In this chapter, various literature available on LCA studies of algae biodiesel production are evaluated, depicting that some comprehensive studies compiling various techniques. LCA outputs are dependent on various inputs such as the algae species, bioreactor type, and biochemical reaction conditions. Nevertheless, the paucity in the systematic framework for LCA in the biofuel production process also affected the LCA outputs. In addition, the system boundaries, temporal units, choice of allocation, land utilization, and biogenic carbon source have to be redefined; along with the other unconsidered variables (till now) such as infrastructure construction, systematic maintenance, transportation, waste management, and process intensification, and the overall cost involved should also be included in the LCA method. This chapter covers an inclusive and critical overview of the LCA and techno-economic and policy analyses for the complete algal biodiesel procedure that can assist in future-related studies.

TL;DR: In this paper, Singhvi et al. pointed out that judicial activism refers to the interference of the judiciary in the legislative and executive fields, which mainly occurs due to the non-activity of the other organs of the government and relates closely to constitutional interpretation, statutory construction and separation of powers.
Abstract: The Constitution of India has embodied a faith in the words of Abraham Lincon “that the Government of the people, for the people and by the people shall not perish upon this earth”. In consideration, the founding fathers who wrote the constitution, created three arms-Parliament, Executive and the Judiciary. In the Constitutional scheme parliament is not supreme. It is subject to a major limitation-that legislation does not violate any fundamental rights or constitutional values. In the context, the judiciary can strike down any law that is beyond Parliament’s legislative competence or is violative of the Constitution. In line, Article 142 of the Constitution had given a unique extraordinary power to our Supreme Court to do complete justice in any matter before it. As the umpire of the constitutional system and the legal process, the Supreme Court has to strive to relieve the tensions of a developing nation, to resolve the conflicts of a diverse and open society and to accommodate adjudicate antagonistic demands for justice. In performing those difficult and complex tasks with considerable erudition, understanding and wisdom, the judicial system as a whole and the summit courts, in particular, has made an important and enduring contribution to nation-building (Singhvi, 1979). In the light of these the judiciary has shed its pro-status-quo approach and taken upon itself the duty to enforce the basic rights of the poor and vulnerable sections of society, by progressive interpretation and positive action. Judicial activism refers to the interference of the judiciary in the legislative and executive fields. It mainly occurs due to the non-activity of the other organs of the government and relates closely to constitutional interpretation, statutory construction and separation of powers.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed various developing dimensions of Pakistani Baloch Nationalism, which in present day regional and global circumstances, became pertinent, and analyzed the present situation of Baloch nationalism, as their behavior is one of the important factors in the future stability and security not only of the Balochinhabited countries but also of the entire region.
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to analyze various developing dimensions of Pakistani Baloch Nationalism, which in present day regional and global circumstances, became pertinent. The Baloch people are a unique ethno-linguistic group spread between Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan. The ethnic nationalism of Pakistani Baloch is different in two aspects: One, they are distinct in biological, cultural, and linguistic spirit in which the ethnic group develops a distinctive value system and language and it may evolve a structural identity by developing a particular type of joint relationship. Secondly, it is distinct from the politics of ethnicity in advanced societies, where it is somewhat luxurious and gave relative importance to other basic political issues. Over the decades, the Balochi environment, which has molded the character of the Baloch as individuals, has also shaped their destiny as a people. Therefore, it is very important to analyze the present situation of Baloch nationalism, as their behavior is one of the important factors in the future stability and security not only of the Baloch-inhabited countries but also of the entire region. The Baloch people have awakened to a sense of nationhood rather belatedly, it is important to know the Baloch and to understand their alarms, their political orientation, and the course they are likely to pursue.
