TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focus on the strategischen Entwicklung von Informationssystems in Unternehmen aus innovationsorientierten Branchen.
Bestehende organisationale Strukturen, die i. d.

TL;DR: The fundamental concepts applied in a pan-European distributed information system for racing and tracking of wagon and load unit movements for intermodal road/rail freight transport, named CombiCom, are discussed.
Abstract: The fundamental concepts applied in a pan-European distributed information system for racing and tracking of wagon and load unit movements for intermodal road/rail freight transport, named CombiCom, are discussed. Specific topics addressed include architectural principle requirements, elementary data set and operation, system status, and system software implementation.

TL;DR: The paper proposes some definitions for the major concepts related to the performance management, and a declination of the approach as a roadmap is experienced with a business case.
Abstract: Some theoretical landmarks are discussed allowing to situate the performance indicators in relation to the business scope and objectives, the information systems, and the information technologies, and to guarantee completeness, effectiveness, and efficiency of defining and implementing these indicators. An enterprise architecture framework is proposed, and a declination of the approach as a roadmap is experienced with a business case, starting from an inceptive point, the concern, which ontological specification is developed and enriched. Some optimisation and governance solutions, both in the business scope and in the IS & IT scope, are briefly discussed, with reference to an enterprise generic model. Finally, the paper proposes some definitions for the major concepts related to the performance management.

TL;DR: In this article, a surgical instrument includes a body assembly, an end effector, and a shaft assembly, and the body assembly includes at least one electrical connection, which is disposed within the recess of the nozzle.
Abstract: A surgical instrument includes a body assembly, an end effector, and a shaft assembly. The body assembly includes at least one electrical connection. The end effector is operable to treat tissue. The shaft assembly extends between the body assembly and the end effector along a shaft axis. The shaft assembly includes a nozzle, a closure tube, and a fluid blocker. The nozzle includes at least one housing. The at least one housing includes a recess. The closure tube is configured to rotate relative to the body assembly about the shaft axis. The fluid blocker is disposed within the recess of the nozzle. The fluid blocker is configured to contact the closure tube to prevent fluid from entering the nozzle and reaching the at least one electrical connection disposed within the body assembly.

TL;DR: This chapter discusses sensory and instrumental evaluations of the texture of materials, an essential characteristic to base consumer preference, and various examples given in this chapter allow understanding the constraints and performance of all these studies.
Abstract: The texture of materials, an essential characteristic to base consumer preference, is perceived through various sensory modalities. Many industries, such as automotive, packaging, and small electronics, pay particular attention to the evaluation of this feature. Vision and touch are the most common sensory modalities used when evaluating the texture of materials. Sensory studies use methods and panels to characterize surface effects as well as the mechanical properties of materials. To quickly position the products, most of the preferred methods are rapid techniques such as ranking, free sorting, and napping. It is also a sensory domain where instrumental methods have been put in place. Sensory and instrumental evaluations are mandatory to give a global and genuine perception/assessment of a product. The various examples given in this chapter allow understanding the constraints and performance of all these studies.
