TL;DR: A case study of a large commercial outsourcing project is presented to demonstrate how the execution model can help in making quick decisions that reduces the turn around times of corrective maintenance requests.
Abstract: We focus on corrective maintenance carried out in the outsourced mode under strict service level agreements and present the characteristics of the problem and the activities performed. We detail the information requirements for various maintenance services, such as, emergency maintenance, production support, and corrective maintenance. We present the concept of a system execution model with its constituent nodes and arcs and present the steps to build the same. We present a case study of a large commercial outsourcing project to demonstrate how the execution model can help in making quick decisions that reduces the turn around times of corrective maintenance requests.

TL;DR: In this article, the set of typical questions asked to bottom-level managers are discussed. But they do not cover the following: Is your job secured? Do layoffs happen? How long do you plan to work in the same organization? How is performance rated?

TL;DR: The aim of this article is to provide you with an overview of things that need to be resolved before PKI technology will become truly ubiquitous and transparent.
Abstract: Over the last 18 months or so, a great deal has been written about Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology in security magazines. Most vendors (and some consultants) will have you believe that these days almost every kind of enterprise will need a PKI for something. While PKI is undoubtedly a valuable new technology with many benefits, there are also several issues and pitfalls associated with it. These, unfortunately, are often understated. The aim of this article is to provide you with an overview of things that need to be resolved before PKI technology will become truly ubiquitous and transparent. It will also go into some of the fundamental questions you must ask yourself before embarking on a (costly) PKI project, as well as discuss different ways in which the technology can be deployed.

TL;DR: Analyzing the societal, organizational, and industry-specific preconditions and the drivers for this early adoption of computer adoption in Finland helps illustrate how this development unfolded inside the four major retailing organizations in Finland from the 1950s to the late 1970s.
Abstract: The retail industry in Finland was at the national forefront in terms of computer adoption shortly after the Second World War. Analyzing the societal, organizational, and industry-specific preconditions and the drivers for this early adoption, both at industrial and organizational levels, helps illustrate how this development unfolded inside the four major retailing organizations in Finland from the 1950s to the late 1970s.

TL;DR: The lessons learned on the relevance of achieving cross-border interoperability between public cloud computing services are discussed, deriving from the successful participation at the first PCP phase as tenderers.
Abstract: In 2013, in the context of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), the European Commission promoted a major initiative addressing cloud computing and the public sector, named Cloud-for-Europe (C4E), for the creation of a digital single market of IT services in the cloud. That initiative pushes public sector organizations from Member States for preparing themselves in procuring secure, cost-effective, reliable and trustworthy cloud services. C4E has adopted the Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) instrument for involving not only public sector entities but also IT, Telcos, and SMEs in providing innovative cloud-based solutions that best fit public sector's needs. In this paper, after presenting a brief overview of C4E initiative and the current European scenario for public cloud services and cloud projects, we discuss the lessons learned on the relevance of achieving cross-border interoperability between public cloud computing services, deriving from our successful participation at the first PCP phase as tenderers.
