TL;DR: In this paper, a review of the potential applications of AgNPs in several areas while minimizing their risks to humans and the environment is presented, and several potential topics for future works are available to promote more efficient use of these nanoparticles.
Abstract: Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are intensively investigated for their superior physical, chemical, and biological properties. A proper knowledge of these properties is essential to maximizing the potential applications of AgNPs in several areas while minimizing their risks to humans and the environment. This paper aims to critically review AgNPs from the perspectives of research trends, global consumption, synthesis, properties, and future challenges. Generally, AgNPs can be synthesized using three methods, namely physical, chemical, and biological, and the related works as well as their numerous advantages and disadvantages are presented in this review. In addition, AgNPs can be potentially explored for various applications. Future challenges on (AgNP) synthesis, their release into the environment, and scaling up production, as presented in the review, suggest that several potential topics for future works are available to promote a safer and more efficient use of these nanoparticles. Studies on AgNPs in Malaysia have increased since the Malaysian government officially established a directorate for nanotechnology development. This calls for a proper set of policies on AgNPs starting from their production to utilization as well as their effects on various related industries and the environment.

TL;DR: A review of current literature on extensive studies that have been undertaken in an attempt to explore plausible applications and potentials of sugarcane bagasse (SCB) for composite material is presented in this article.
Abstract: The natural, bio-degradable features and chemical constituents of the sugarcane bagasse (SCB) have been attracting attention as a highly potential and versatile ingredient in composite materials. Eco-friendly and low cost considerations have set the momentum for material science researchers to identify green materials that give low pollutant indexes. Various components of SCB is shown to possess the ability of being applied as raw material for manufacturing of composite materials at multiple levels of properties and performances. Studies on the impacts, performances and applications of SCB in its original condition; transformed forms; treated with appropriate chemicals and/or processes; in combination with materials of distinct properties and manipulation of manufacturing methodologies have been duly considered. This paper attempts to summarize a review of current literature on the extensive studies that have been undertaken in an attempt to explore plausible applications and potentials of SCB for composite material.

TL;DR: In this article, a fluoronitrile-based gas mixture dubbed lg3ngreen gas for gridr that is such a alternative is presented, which is used to find a suitable alternative for it in industrial applications.
Abstract: Environmental considerations are increasingly taking a front seat in all arenas of our daily livesmpolitical, industrial and societal. Not least among the major concerns are global warming and the greenhouse gases that contribute to it, as their concentration in the air reaches new heights. Hence the power industryas focus on sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) and the need to find a suitable alternative for it in industrial applications. Grid Solutions, a GE and Alstom joint venture, has identified a fluoronitrile based gas mixture dubbed lg3ngreen gas for gridr that is such a alternative.
