TL;DR: In this paper, the decomposition of the two isomeric hydroperoxides shown in Fig 1 to radicals and volatile aldehydes is taking place according to the following reaction pattern:
Abstract: During oxidation of unsaturated fatty acids via a radical-chain mechanism (Schultz, Day and Sinnhuber, 1962) primarily hydroperoxides are formed, which are decomposed to free radicals entering again the radical-chain thus further promoting fat oxidation They are split to aldehydes (rancid products) as it is demonstrated in Fig 1 for linoleic acid The decomposition of the two isomeric hydroperoxides shown in Fig 1 to radicals and volatile aldehydes is taking place according to the following reaction pattern:

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that pairs of conduction electrons in the low-temperature phase of crystalline WO3-x (x>or approximately=0.0001) are paired diamagnetically, forming bipolarons due to joint lattice distortion.
Abstract: Conduction electrons in the low-temperature phase of crystalline WO3-x (x>or approximately=0.0001) are found to be paired diamagnetically, forming bipolarons due to joint lattice distortion. They can be dissociated with light in a broad band of wavelengths peaked at 1.1 eV, as monitored by the appearance of W5+ ESR and a corresponding change in DC conductivity. The transport activation energy is 0.18 eV in the paired state and decreases upon dissociation. The bipolaron binding energy is larger than 0.36 eV. Separated electrons recombine in a bimolecular process controlled by diffusion in the conduction band.

TL;DR: In this paper, the results of computer simulations of double layers are presented and scaling laws giving the dependence of the amplitude and width of the electric pulse on the potential difference between the two plasmas are given.
Abstract: Electric double layers provide a mechanism for the acceleration of particles. The results of computer simulations of double layers are presented. Simulations are carried out for the case of two interpenetrating plasmas with different plasma potentials. It is found that when the two plasmas satisfy the Langmuir condition for the existence of a double layer, stable double layers eventually form. During formation the initial constant electric field evolved in a solitary electric pulse of a constant shape. This pulse makes few oscillations before it becomes stationary. Scaling laws giving the dependence of the amplitude and width of the electric pulse on the potential difference between the two plasmas are given. When the Langmuir condition is not satisfied the double layer forms very swiftly and beam-plasma interactions on the high potential side of the layer cause strong instabilities, giving rise to strong RF fields which create an additional double layer through the action of a ponderomotive force.

TL;DR: In this paper, the optical absorption spectra of cobalt and nickel diffused LEC-grown GaAs have been analyzed and a zero phonon line at 0.501 eV was observed and assigned to the intra d-shell transition 4 A 2 → 4 T 2 (F) of the A−state Co2+(3d7).

TL;DR: In this article, a strong dependence of the transverse sound velocity on the external magnetic field has been measured for phonons up to the GHz region, which can be explained satisfactorily by the interaction of the phonon and magnon dispersion branches.
Abstract: The weak ferromagnet FeBO3 exhibits a strong dependence of the transverse sound velocity on the external magnetic field. This dependence has been measured for phonons up to the GHz region. The results can be explained satisfactorily by the interaction of the phonon and magnon dispersion branches.

TL;DR: In this paper, the currentvoltage characteristics of p+-p-p+ and n+-P-P+ structures are investigated as their behavior impacts on the performance of extrinsic silicon monolithic focal plane arrays.
Abstract: The current-voltage characteristics of p+-p-p+and n+-p-p+structures are investigated as their behavior impacts on the performance of extrinsic silicon monolithic focal plane arrays. In particular, the breakdown voltage of n+-p-p+devices, which exist as a result of the fabrication process, is much lower than that of the photoconductors. This limits the voltage that can be applied to the MFPA. What this operational limit is and how it can be overcome is discussed.

TL;DR: A test program for industrial robots is described and the most important variables and methods for measuring them are introduced and demonstrate the differences between various • types.
Abstract: The use of industrial robots has considerably increased in the last few years. The specification of the characteristics of such devices, however, is often confusing. Guidelines for standerdising the description of the characteristics of such devices are therefore desirable, so that different devices can be compared. This article describes a test program for industrial robots and introduces the most important variables and methods for measuring them. The results from assessing devices demonstrate the differences between various • types.

Abstract: The use of standard modules is often suggested as one means of increasing the flexibility and lowering the cost of programmable handling systems. However at present there is a lack of modules available to the industrial user. In an attempt to overcome this lack IPA — Stuttgart have developed two new modular systems.
