TL;DR: Kala Rata, a salt tolerant variety of rice, is cultivated in brakish-water paddy fields of western India, where the silty soil is poor in exchangeable Ca, but it has relatively more soluble salts as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: Kala Rata, a salt tolerant variety of rice, is cultivated in brakish-water paddy fields of western India. The silty soil is poor in exchangeable Ca, but it has relatively more soluble salts. The leaves of Kala Rata, grown from saline and sweet water, and those of a salt-sensitive variety, such as Dodga, EK-70, and Zinia-149, have been analysed for mineral elements. By keeping the internal level of K much higher than Na, it is observed that Kala Rata, appears to withstand salinity. It also appears to develop a salt exclusion mechanism Antagonism of Na and Ca is marked by the poor Ca in the leaves. Again, salt stress effect seems to affect the Si uptake.

TL;DR: In this article, the separation of rhenium(VII) from molybdenum, vanadium, chromium, tungsten, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, manganese, iridium, ruthenium, and uranium is achieved by solvent extraction with 4-methyl-2-pentanol either from sulfuric or hydrochloric acid media.
Abstract: Separation of rhenium(VII) from molybdenum, vanadium, chromium, tungsten, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, manganese, iridium, ruthenium, and uranium is achieved by solvent extraction with 4-methyl-2-pentanol either from sulfuric or hydrochloric acid media. Rhenium is determined directly in the organic phase as its thiocyanate complex at 430 nm. The method is shown to be applicable to synthetic mixtures and alloy steel.

TL;DR: In this paper, a spectrophotometric method was described for the determination of palladium with 1-phenyl-2-thiourea, and the effects due to acidity, solvents, reagent concentration and diverse ions were reported.
Abstract: TBP has been used for the extraction of palladium(II) from hydrobromic acid medium and a simple extraction scheme developed for separation of palladium from Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Ru(III), Rh(III), Ir(III), and Pt(IV). A spectrophotometric method is described for the determination of palladium with 1-phenyl-2-thiourea. The effects due to acidity, solvents, reagent concentration and diverse ions are reported. The complex is probably of 1 ∶ 1 composition.

TL;DR: In this paper, the activation energies of calcium sulphide phosphors were determined by analyzing the glow peaks after thermal cleaning, using different methods, and the results showed that the electron traps responsible for thermoluminescence are present prior to irradiation.
