TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a system that includes multiple data stores for storing different types of a user's information, in which information is the primary asset and in which investments may be made in information, and the safe, secure and properly authorized transfer of information while preserving individual privacy is provided.
Abstract: A system, in which information is the primary asset and in which investments may be made in information, includes multiple data stores for storing different types of a user's information. The safe, secure and properly authorized transfer of information while preserving individual privacy is provided. The system also provides for secure backup and storage, as well as for ubiquitous and nomadic access to information while maintaining the privacy of such information. A first data store includes static identification data about a user. A second data store includes moderately dynamic personal data about the user. A third data store includes dynamic demographic information data about the user. An electronic wallet can be used with the system to download selected portions of the data for use by the user. A method of use of the data includes using the data for billing out forms, providing services to the user and allowing merchants to selectively target users for sales while maintaining user anonymity.

TL;DR: In this paper, a system for predicting and evading crash of a vehicle includes an image pick-up device mounted on the vehicle for picking up images of actual ever-changing views when the vehicle is on running to produce actual image data, a crash predicting device associated with said image pickup device, and an occupant protecting mechanism which is operatively connected and equipped in the vehicle.
Abstract: A system for predicting and evading crash of a vehicle includes an image pick-up device mounted on the vehicle for picking up images of actual ever-changing views when the vehicle is on running to produce actual image data, a crash predicting device associated with said image pick-up device, said crash predicting device being successively supplied with the actual image data for predicting occurrence of crash between the vehicle and potentially dangerous objects on the roadway to produce an operational signal when there is possibility of crash and a safety drive ensuring device connected to said crash predicting device for actuating, in response to the operational signal, an occupant protecting mechanism which is operatively connected thereto and equipped in the vehicle. The crash predicting device includes a neural network which is previously trained with training data to predict the possibility of crash, the training data representing ever-changing views previously picked-up from said image picking-up device during driving of the vehicle for causing actual crash.

TL;DR: In this article, an airbag is constructed such that a gas-discharging amount from a venthole becomes largest when an occupant contacts a center portion, in the left and right direction, of an occupant-facing surface of the expanded airbag.
Abstract: An airbag is constructed such that a gas-discharging amount from a venthole becomes largest when an occupant contacts a center portion, in the left and right direction, of an occupant-facing surface of the expanded airbag. In the airbag, a hanging strap couples a center portion of a front panel and a rear panel. A lid body covers an open-and-close venthole from outside the airbag, and the hanging strap is coupled by a tether. In a case that the airbag is expanded, the hanging strap and the tether are tensed, and the lid body is brought to a state to close the open-and-close venthole. A loosening amount of the hanging strap and the tether becomes largest when an occupant contacts the center portion of the front panel to retreat, and an opening amount of the open-and-close venthole also becomes largest.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a virtual wallet which allows information and financial banking including payment mechanisms; identity authentication mechanisms; personal information; and electronic artifacts, and an interface is provided for communication between the two portions of the wallet.
Abstract: The present invention provides apparatus, methods and systems for information and financial banking. Apparatus of the present invention include virtual wallets which allow for information and financial banking including payment mechanisms; identity authentication mechanisms; personal information; and electronic artifacts. Methods and systems of the present invention include information and financial banking methods utilizing virtual wallets. A preferred virtual wallet comprises a locally residing portion and a server residing portion. An interface is provided for communication between the two portions of the wallet.
