TL;DR: Comparison of forms obtained by the tissue culture experiments with blood forms found in early parasitemia of infected mice suggests that the same process occurs both in tissue cultures and in the vertebrate, and explains why the fast-moving slender forms are the first to appear in the peripheral blood.

Abstract: Bajo el paradigma de modernizacion y desarrollo norteamericano -y en un contexto de Guerra Fria-, durante la decada de 1960 se adecuaron a la realidad chilena programas de control de natalidad que no solo buscaron disminuir las altas tasas de mortalidad materno infantil, sino que ademas respondieron al proyecto de seguridad hemisferica norteamericana de contencion a posibles revoluciones populares en paises del Tercer Mundo.

TL;DR: An eclectic approach that combines discourse analysis with contrastive linguistics is proposed, and some specific didactic guidelines are indicated to facilitate the translation teaching of these standard formulas of expression.
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to identify problems when translating standard formulas of expression in English to Spanish legal translation. To achieve the goal, a total of 250 Spanish translations were analyzed of 10 sentences from legal texts in English. The degree of difficulty posed by the translation of these formulas is confirmed by the results obtained, which is related not so much to the intrinsic meaning of the words that compose them, but to their contextual meaning. An eclectic approach that combines discourse analysis with contrastive linguistics is proposed, and some specific didactic guidelines are indicated to facilitate the translation teaching of these standard formulas of expression. Lexical interpretation and contextual recreation allow the apprentice translator to make progress with the translation of these phrases and to improve his/her attitude when facing them to achieve a successful semantic and contextual interpretation, that is to say, getting the closest natural equivalent while respecting the genius of the language.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the Dubinin-Radushkevich equation to obtain the micropore volume with values of 0.65 and 0.32 cm3 g-1.
Abstract: Activated carbons were prepared from shell Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus Labil) by chemical activation using as activating agent solutions of phosphoric acid, at two different concentrations; 30 and 80% v/v. Carbons were texturally characterized by N2 physisorption, the apparent surface area was determined by B.E.T., method, values obtained were 2009 and 1027 m2 g-1. Dubinin-Radushkevich equation was used to obtain the micropore volume with values of 0.65 and 0.32 cm3 g-1. Boehm method established that the carbons are acidic aspect confirmed by determining the point of zero charge. Solid energetic interactions against HCl and NaOH solutions were established by immersion calorimetry finding great correlation with the content of acidic and basic groups of the solids. Finally, the adsorption capacity of the solid was evaluated with phenol from aqueous solution since this is a priority pollutant, where high adsorption capacity of the two carbons was evident due to the large surface area, micropore volume and surface chemistry of solids.

TL;DR: In this article, a modelo computacional del pulgar with the fin of evaluar the esfuerzos y deformaciones a los que se en¬cuentra sometida the articulacion trapecio metacarpiana.

TL;DR: More research with according methodology design to prove the efficacy of a psychological intervention for breast cancer patient, is very much needed in Latin America and Spain.
Abstract: Objective: The aim of this systematic review was to identify the evidence available in the Latin America and Spain scientific literature about the effective psychological intervention for breast cancer, between 2006 and 2016. Method: The databases included were BVS and PsycNetAPA, using the following descriptors: breast cancer, psychological interventions, psychooncology, and psychotherapy, in English and Spanish. The search was also done in Google Academics with the descriptors: “Cancer de mama and intervenciones psicologicas”, in Spanish. Results: Only 17 articles were found that met our inclusion criteria and showed the evidence of psychological intervention for breast cancer patient in Latin America and Spain between 2006 and 2016. The theoretical model most frequently applied was CBT, followed by other types of psychosocial intervention. Nevertheless, other novel models to these population were also found. Limits in the methodology of these investigation were identified, which hinders the generalization of results. Conclusions: More research with according methodology design to prove the efficacy of a psychological intervention for breast cancer patient, is very much needed in Latin America and Spain.

TL;DR: The authors discusses a Stoic argument on the problem of individual identity (recorded by Philo in De aeternitate, 47-51) and some arguments put forward by the author in favor of the existence of providence in the world.
Abstract: This paper discusses a Stoic argument on the problem of individual identity (recorded by Philo in De aeternitate, 47-51) and some arguments put forward by Philo in favor of the existence of providence in the world (such as they can be found in De providentia, 1-4; 6-10; 11; 13; 16; 18-21; 35, 37; 47). This study intends to show both that Philo takes from Greek philosophers (mainly from Plato and the Stoics) several of the arguments he discusses and that he also incorporates them into his own approach and for his general discussion in the above mentioned treatises. In the final section of the paper an attempt is made to elucidate the argumentative strategies Philo makes use of.
