TL;DR: The visions, concepts, technologies, various challenges, some innovation directions, and various applications of Internet of Things (IoT) are mentioned in this survey paper.
Abstract: The Internet of Things (IoT) has been inscription in this review paper. Internet of Things is a keyword to cover various challenges related to internet and the web to the real physical world. We know that, today internet has already taken an important part of everyday life and it has also dramatically changed the lives of human being. The most important factor of this invention is, integration or combination of several technologies with the communication system solutions. The most applicable factors of IoT is the identification and tracking various factors for smart objects. The universal sensing networks is enabled by Wireless Sensing Networks (WSN) and these technologies cuts across many areas of modern day living. The escalation of these devices in a communicating and actuating network will create the Internet of Things (IoT). Here the sensors and actuators combine easily with the environment around us and the information is shared across various platforms in order to develop a common operating picture (COP). Internet of Things predicts the future that, the advance digital world and the physical world will get linked by means of proper information and wireless communication system technologies. In this survey paper we have mentioned the visions, concepts, technologies, various challenges, some innovation directions, and various applications of Internet of Things (IoT).

TL;DR: Bi-level optimization technique is proposed to maximize the investment problem and market clearing for the wind power at the same time and in one single problem to prove the optimization analysis is very easy, fast and accurate due to the linear characteristic of the system.
Abstract: Recently, renewable energies are widely used instead of the fuel energies due to their individual potentials such as its availability, low price and environmentally friendly. One of the most important renewable energies is wind power. As a result, investment in wind power is one of the most interesting research to maximize the profit of the investment and market clearing. In this paper, bi-level optimization technique is proposed to maximize the investment problem and market clearing for the wind power at the same time and in one single problem. Then, karush–kuhn–tucker (KKT) conditions and mathematical programming with equilibrium constraints (MPEC) are applied and tried to find one level optimization problem. Due to the nonlinearity of the optimization equation, the Fortuny-Amat & McCarl (FM) linearization technique is used to linearize the model. Finally, the proposed technique is applied to the IEEE 24 buses. The result proves that the optimization analysis is very easy, fast and accurate due to the linear characteristic of the system. All the simulation results are carried out in MATLAB and GAMS softwares.

TL;DR: This paper presents an overall study of the 4G systems, architecture, standard, benefits, challenges in implementation, design for the LTE and WiMAX technologies, Security issues and future scope of 4G technologies.
Abstract: The demand of mobile user is ever increasing in this world of digital systems. Consumers demand more from their technology. Whether it is a television, cellular phone, Washing machine or refrigerator, the latest technology purchase must have new features. With the advent of the Internet, the most-wanted feature is better, faster access to information. The time not far away when access to all necessary information and the power of a personal computer, sits in the palm of one's hand. To support such a powerful system, we need pervasive, high- speed wireless connectivity. The drawbacks of the current mobile communication technology have led the researchers to come up with more advanced and efficient technologies. 4G mobile technology is the outcome in this direction. 4G is the next generation of wireless networks that will totally replace existing 3G networks. It is supposed to provide its customers with better speed and all IP based multimedia services. In the present scenario existing technologies are capable of performing functions like broadband data access, supporting voice traffic using voice over IP (VoIP), in mobile environment etc., but there is a great requirement of integrating all such technologies into a single combined system. 4G promises a solution to this problem by seamlessly integrating the terminals, networks and applications. This paper presents an overall study of the 4G systems, architecture, standard, benefits, challenges in implementation, design for the LTE and WiMAX technologies, Security issues and future scope of 4G technologies.

TL;DR: In this article, the potentials of renewable energy as an additional generation source to meet the energy demand of Nigerian populace was discussed and an analysis of projected energy capacities from the abundant renewable energy resources and how much of these resources are required to be harnessed in the proposed energy mix-to achieve over 60,000MW of power.
Abstract: Nigeria is endowed with oil and natural resources but the country cannot be said to have ever had adequate supply of electricity in the history of its electricity generation. This might get worse, as the country’s population increases and economic development is calling for more demand of energy. The gradual diminishing of fossil fuels and the effort to save the eco-system from global warming has seen nations turning to alternative sources to meet their energy demands. It is therefore, imperative that renewable energy solutions be proffered to cater for Nigeria impending industrialization and its energy crisis which leaves many industries running at high cost and keeps many private homes in blackout. This paper discusses the potentials of renewable energy as an additional generation source to meet the energy demand of Nigerian populace. It focuses on the country’s energy crisis and how its natural resources can be harnessed to meet the nation’s energy demand while reducing global pollution. An analysis of projected energy capacities from the abundant renewable energy resources and how much of these resources are required to be harnessed in the proposed energy mix- to achieve over 60,000MW of power- was presented.
