Abstract: This paper provides an overview of micro-services architecture and implementation patterns. It continues our series of publications about M2M systems, existing and upcoming system software platforms for M2M applications. A micro-service is a lightweight and independent service that performs single functions and collaborates with other similar services using a well-defined interface. We would like to discuss the common principles behind this approach, its advantages and disadvantages as well as its possible usage in M2M applications.

Abstract: This paper provides an overview of challenges for Internet of Things programming. In this article we discuss system software models and solutions, rather than network related aspects. It continues our series of publications about M2M systems, existing and upcoming system software platforms for M2M applications. We discuss here such issues for IoT systems as latency, power limitation, reliability (unreliability), network topology related effects as well as data processing in IoT applications. In this paper, we would like to discuss some challenges associated with Internet of Things (IoT) programming. In this article we discuss system software models and solutions, rather than network related aspects. This paper continues our series of publications about software aspects of M2M and IoT. In our first paper (1) we discussed the problems with the unified standards with Machine to Machine communications (M2M). We concluded that the current development misses the larger point of how M2M services and products get created and deployed. In many cases, developers either have to use some predefined platform and be locked with its restriction or build a system completely from scratch. For M2M and Internet of Things products to be successful, interfaces must be simple. The complexity that lies underneath should be completely hidden. As seems to us, at the current stage the existing solutions very often just increase the complexity. The complexity of existing approaches we've discussed also in our paper (2). It raises the following question: do we really need Application Program Interfaces (API) always, or our goal could be described as Data Program Interfaces (DPI)? We can describe DPI as an interface at the edge of an IoT device that exposes and consumes data. IoT devices very often do not support commands (instructions). Many of sensors just provide some data and nothing more. This simple step (refusal to support API) can seriously simplify the interaction with the devices. DPI's are much simpler, of course. And what is more important - they can create a unified API for all devices. The process of reading data can be similar for all devices. As usual, we can pass data interpretation (translation) to the end-user devices. And our

Abstract: In this paper, we would like to discuss software standards in the connection with the development of emerging telecom applications. Emerging (military) telecom applications present one of the biggest challenges for the developers (design and development) and telecom providers (deployment and maintenance). It is especially true in the context of transition from TDM to IP networks. This transition may bring own challenges associated with the priorities in data transmission, security, etc. We describe two biggest telecom related examples (GIG and FI-WARE), discuss the challenges and propose directions for software standards development and deployment

Abstract: Image processing encompasses a large range of techniques which are used in a very wide range of applications. Handwritten Recognition is an emerging field in the pattern recognition. Documents which are scanned may contain unnecessary information or some translation of the document or de-skew should be performed in order to process the document further. The main objective of the paper is to explain about the importance of the preprocessing steps for the Optical Character Recognition. For the development of OCR for any language, preprocessing step is necessary.

Abstract: GIS is a tool for spatial data management, manipulation and analysis. ArcGIS Explorer, a freeware GIS application with 3D display capability, has been chosen in this study for spatially analysing Natural Resource data of the East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, India for developmental planning. To overcome some of the limitations of the software, new customized tools have been developed, which can be used to classify the map in unique colours, generate legends based on unique colours for all types of layers, and compose maps with map elements (viz. legend, title, north arrow, etc.) for printing.

Abstract: During early days many research works have been carried out for the Online Characters. But few research works have been proposed for the Offline characters especially for South Indian Languages at the early stages and now varies efforts are on the way for the development of efficient systems for recognizing the Indian languages, especially for Tamil, a south Indian language widely used in Tamilnadu, Pudhucherry, Singapore, Srilanka. In this paper, an OCR system is developed for the recognition of basic characters in handwritten Tamil language, which can handle different font sizes and font types. A comparative study is performed with the Wavelet and the Zernike moments which have been used in pattern recognition are used in this system to extract the features of handwritten Tamil characters. Neural classifiers have been used for the classification of Tamil characters.

Abstract: Для своих онлайн-программ мы используем разные платформы для проведения вебинаров, одной из которой является WizIQ. Это онлайн-сервис, который позволяет нам проводить вебинары с использованием аудио-видео материалов, презентаций и т.д. Слушатели онлайн-программ могут слышать голос ведущего, видеть презентацию, слушать музыкальное сопровождение, принимать активное участие в чате. Однако возникают большие трудности, связанные с контентом проводимого курса. Изобилие неструктурированной информации, недостоверность информации, растущее число открытых ресурсов, постоянно меняющийся мир, изменение рынка труда привело к появлению нового вида деятельности – курирования содержания. В предлагаемой статье описана авторская система оптимизации онлайнового контента учебного курса с использованием автоматического куратора в скользящем режиме. Данная система успешно используется автором-профессором Варданoм Мкртчяном в пяти различных университетах Российской Федерации при преподавании в режиме онлайн своих 10 различных авторских учебных дисциплин.

Abstract: В статье рассматриваются вопросы разработки мобильных сервисов, связанных с беспроводными тегами. В первой части работы анализируются устройства (теги) на основе Bluetooth Low Energy и предложенная компанией Apple технология iBeacon. Остальная часть статьи посвящена развитию модели персональных и мобильных тегов на основе Bluetooth. Основным достижением этой модели является то, что она охватывает все этапы жизненного цикла – представление тега (тегов), привязка к ним информационного наполнения и создание сервисов на основе имеющихся тегов. В качестве тегов могут выступать как мобильные телефоны, так и существующие устройства с поддержкой Bluetooth. Как области применения данного подхода можно назвать приложения для торговых и сервисных организаций, навигацию в помещениях, а также контекстно-зависимые приложения для Smart Cities.

Abstract: The main delivery system in Tanzanian education has been face-to-face approach relying on printed educational materials. High cost of books and insufficient teaching materials are still the major challenges. Recently, Online Social Networks (OSN) have gained popularity across the world and they are used for sharing information, news, chatting, messaging, and keeping in touch with friends. Studies have shown that OSNs can be used as tools for facilitating learning, supplementing face-to-face approach. Currently, there is an increase in the number of local OSN sites and subscribers in Tanzania. This paper examines to what extent are local OSNs in Tanzania exploited as e-learning platforms. Moreover, it addresses the student’s perceived challenges and discusses the opportunities of using local OSNs towards fostering students' academic development.

Проведено исследование методов индексации, взвешивания и классификации для корпуса документов базы знаний предприятия. Рассмотрены метрики сравнения классификаторов и получены результаты сравнений в рамках существующей инфраструктуры. Предложен способ использования существующего поискового индекса для решения задачи классификации документов. Разработана реализация и сценарии работы автоматической системы классификации текстов.

Abstract: In the high dimensional data the dimensional reduction is an important factor, for that purpose the clustering based feature subset selection algorithm is proposed in this paper. The features has been clustered according to the class labels. The Relevance of the clustered features has been evaluated. The correlation of the relevant clustered feature are then evaluated. Based on the correlation evaluation the Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) has been generated. The representatives of each class has been identified by the MST. The effectiveness is determined in terms of time required to find the subset of feature and the efficiency is determined terms of quality of the subset. By comparing the proposed algorithm with the existing feature selection algorithms like FCBF, reliefF, CFS etc with respect to the four classification algorithms namely Naive Bayer, the tree based c4.5, the instance based IB1 and rule based RIPPER the proposed algorithm is better in terms of efficiency and accuracy. The results are computed with various types of data set.

Abstract: A new protocol for Single Sign-on for the Web is proposed. The main goal of the introduction of this new protocol is to combine the advantages of widespread protocols OpenID and OAuth and to be free from features which we regard as disadvantages of these protocols. Another problem covered in the article: how a client web site can automatically detect a provider web site where a user already has an account to authenticate against. A special supplementary protocol is proposed for this goal.

Abstract: В статье рассмотрены решения следующих пяти задач по механике с помощью ПЭВМ: 1) качение цилиндра по внутренней поверхности вращающейся трубы; 2) падение упругой линейки на горизонтально расположенный цилиндр; 3) падение длинной упругой нити на горизонтально расположенный цилиндр, а затем на поверхность стола; 4) движение резинового кольца, которое сначала растянули, а затем отпустили; 5) движение вращающегося кольца, падающего на горизонтальную поверхность. Представлены четыре программы, написанные в среде Free Pascal, приведены результаты моделирования.
