Experimental study of atractylodes on intestinal microflora in mice

Abstract: Objective:To observate the effect of atractylodes on intestinal flora in mice.Method:Mice were orally administered with atractylodes at different doses,and the numbers of Bifidobacterium,Lactobacillus,Enterobacter and Enterococcus were counted,respectively.Result:There were not different the amounts of intestinal flora's numbers after the mice were fed in low-dose group.In high-dose group,the amounts of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium were increased.;the amounts of Enterobacter were decreased;the amounts of Enterococcus had no change.Conclusion:Atractylodes can regulate and improve the intestinal flora and efficiently stimulate the proliferation of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium in mice.

Effect of Xiaoyao powder on the corticosterone level in serum of irritable bowel syndrome rat

Abstract: Objective: to observe the effect and the mechanism of Xiaoyao powder on the visceral hypersensitivity of irritable bowel syndome(IBS) rats.Methods: the IBS model rats were induced by chronic bandaged-stress and inserting the end.The rats were randomly divided into six groups: the normal control group,the model control group,the positive control group,the high dosage of Xiaoyao powder group,the middle dosage of Xiaoyao powder group,the low dosage of Xiaoyao powder group,then we determined the regulation of Xiaoyao powder on the visceral hypersensitivity and the contents of corticosterone(Cor) in serum.Results: compared with the normal control group,the visceral sensitivity and the contents of Cor of IBS model rats has been increased.While Xiaoyao powder could effectively decrease the visceral sensitivity and the levels of Cor in serum(P0.05～0.01).Conclusion: Xiaoyao powder could regulate the visceral hypersensitivity of IBS rats.The mechanism of Xiaoyao powder may be decreasing the Cor levels in IBS rats.

Study on the Antitumor Activity in Vivo of Phellinus Ribis Polysaccharide

Abstract: Objectives:To explore antitumor activities in vivo of Phellinus ribis polysaccharide(PRP). Methods:S180 tumor-bearing mice models were established and divided randomly into the following groups:model group,PRP group,PRP combined with cyclophosphamide group,cyclophosphamide group. Drugs were administrated through intraperitoneal injection. The tumor growth inhibitory rate,spleen index and thymus index were calculated. Results:The tumor inhibition rates of medium and high-dose PRP were 23.35% and 34.46%,respectively,which were significantly different from the model group(P0.01 or P0.05). Spleen index and thymus index significantly increased in medium and high-dose PRP groups. The inhibitory rates of tumor increased in PRP combined with cyclophosphamide group,but the difference was not significant. Spleen index and thymus index were higher in group of PRP combined with cyclophosphamide than that in cyclophosphamide group(P0.01 or P0.05). Conclusions:PRP could improve the immunity obviously and inhibit the growth of tumor to some extent. It could relief the immune damage caused by cyclophosphamide.

Effect of Immature Bitter Orange on model rats of blood stasis in prethrombotic state

Abstract: Objective:To investigate effects of Immature Bitter Orange on the risk factors of prethrombotic state in rats Methods:Model rats of blood stasis caused by adrenalin were used to be gastrogavage with Immature Bitter Orange to investigate the effect on platelet aggregation,RBC aggregation,P selection,P selection CD 62p (CD 62p ),von Willebrand factor(vWF),D Dimer(D Dm)and fibrionogen(Fg) Results:There were obvious effects of Immature Bitter Orange on platelet aggregation and RBC aggregation in both healthy rats and model rats of blood stasis,which was prior to aspirin and had a dose effect relationship The effects of Immature Bitter Orange and other two medicine on CD 62p ,vWF,D Dm and Fg was not found in this study Conclusion:Immature Bitter Orange can promote blood circulation by removing blood stasis by the way of inhabiting platilet aggregation and RBC aggregation

Discussion of the complex thinking of syndrome differentiation and treatment in Treatise on Febrile Diseases

Abstract: Based on six meridian differential diagnostic method in Treatise on Febrile Diseases,it is pointed out that the concept of the general syndrome differentiation and complex syndrome differentiation.Then the treatment based on syndrome differentiation composed of general thinking and complex thinking of syndrome differentiation can be generalised by "analyzing the specific changes by knowing general ones"."Knowing general ones" reflects the general thinking of syndrome differentiation,and"analyzing the specific changes" reflects the complex thinking of syndrome differentiation.Complex thinking of syndrome differentiation and treatment mainly includes dialectical thinking of syndrome differentiation,dynamic thinking of syndrome differentiation,holistic thinking of syndrome differentiation,relative thinking of syndrome differentiation,retrorse thinking of syndrome differentiation,etc.The representative characteristics or the essence of six meridian differential diagnostic method in Treatise on Febrile Diseases is "to expound change",i.e.elucidate the complex thinking of syndrome differentiation,which is true of both the writing style and the disease,pulse,syndrome,treatment in Treatise on Febrile Diseases.By examples of the dialectical thinking and dynamic thinking of syndrome differentiation and with combination of the disease,pulse,syndrome,treatment in Treatise on Febrile Diseases and several clinical cases,this paper probes into the manifestation,application features and the significance of complex thinking of syndrome differentiation.
