TL;DR: This paper studied the relationship between top management team (TMT)charac-teristics and firm RD intensity and found that firms with higher levels of RD intensity are likely to have TMTs characterized by shorter organizational tenures, higher technological backgrounds.
Abstract: Top management team demography characteristics have implication on innovation and stra-tegic decisions.This paper ex- amines the relationships between top management team(TMT)charac-teristics and firm RD intensity.The study is based on a sam- ple of 155 Chinese listed companies in the manufacturing sector.Findings indicate that firms with higher levels of RD intensity are likely to have TMTs characterized by shorter organizational tenures,higher technological backgrounds.In addi-tion,findings indicate that the TMT's age and educational backgrounds and TMT's heterogeneity have not impacts on RD intensity.

Abstract: By statistic analysis of characteristics from the process of synergistic innovation between technology and market,we build the mechanism for synergistic innovation in China.And the essence of the mechanism is total relationship among environment,management and process.The idea and concept model come from a case study of Shanghai Bao Steel,and the statistic analysis confirmed our model.Based on this,we came to a conclusion for synergistic innovation between technology and market in China.

Abstract: The agglomeration of high-tech industry is an inevitable outcome in the course of many countries' economic development as a kind of geography phenomenon in the industrial evolutionary process.It is very easy for high-tech industry to emergence the agglomeration of manufacture industry because of the relatively lower dependence for the natural resource.The agglomeration level of the Chinese high-tech industry was measured by the concentration index of industrial space and CRn index in 1994-2003.The conclusion indicates that the agglomeration level of the Chinese high-tech industry is raising continuously exclude medicine industry.According to the agglomeration region of high-tech industry,the eastern coastal city is the main agglomeration region,for example Jiangsu,Guangdong,Shanghai and Beijing etc;the center-west regions have relatively lower agglomeration level for high-tech industry.This contrast can explain the regional development gap seriously in a certain extent.When high-tech industry agglomeration effect brings the development of economy,the polarization of regional development is aggravating at the same time.The agglomeration level of electronic and equipment manufacturing industry is highest and is a typical representative of high-tech industry agglomeration.The positive correlation is presented between agglomeration level and economic increase of electronic industry.The agglomeration elasticity can reflect the different influence that the changing of different agglomeration level brings on the development of economy;all this can offer decision reference for appraising and developing the cluster of high-tech industry.

Abstract: As an important source of competitive advantage,network competence is the extension of enterprise's core competence in the sense of strategy and administration in the network environment.With the influence of networking on the enterprise's operation and innovation being more distinct,study on network competence has been the new focus of innovation research.In this paper,based on the relative literatures home and abroad,the characters,structure and influential factors of network competence are conceptualized and analyzed,which form the base for further research.

Abstract: An organization is defined as a complex system with scale-free network structure.As the source of organizational competitive advantage and sustainable development capability,organizational learning may be considered as a continuous and endless dynamic process inherent in organizational life.Organization learning has three levels: Individual,group,and organization.The method of organization learning includes single-loop learning,double-loop learning and triple-loop learning.It contains four related sub-processes: intuiting,interpreting,integrating,and institutionalizing.Based on the comprehensive review of the related literature,this paper systematically integrates and innovates the model of organizational learning processes under complex system.Inspired by empirical studies of networked systems,this paper also analyzes the obstacles in the process of building a learning organization in the environment of a dynamic system.

Abstract: The notion of embodiment in cognitive science is being reinforced due to the limitation and trouble of computational metaphor in cognition since the 80s of last century.Embodiment,situatedness and enaction have merged into each other comqrehensively in cognitive science.The embodied cognition holds that cognition is not a transcendental logical competence,but a continuous evolutionary process of situatedness;That the body is at the core of cognition originates from the fact that bodily actions itself reveals the existential intentionality to impulse cognitive development.The internalization theory by Piajet Vygotsky,the metaphorical mapping theory by Lakoff Johnson have shed light on how the bodily actions is proceeding toward cognition in higher level.At present,benefitting from the dynamic system theory,the research of neural modeling of embodied cognition is developing vigorously.Thus,a more stereographic view of cognition has come into being.

Abstract: The concept of project life-cycle lean value(LCLV) is proposed and its characteristic and elements is analyzed.The management procedure for lean value and main management measurements are presented.In order to achieving the seamless information flow and solving the decomposition and integration problems,a new kind of DSM-based model for value stream optimization is proposed.Finally,the lean value management method is applied into the RD project of some new aerospace machine,the development cycle is shortened by 90% and cost is decreased by 30%.

Abstract: Traditional competitive advantage theories mainly discuss the sources of competitive advantage from market environmental field.Our study attempts to expand the perspective to social environmental field.This paper argues the special social networks that arise from the collaborative behaviors between corporates and nonprofit organizations(NPOs) can help corporates obtain competitive advantage from two aspects: First,obtaining social capital;Second,learning from NPOs.The study points out finally,the competitive advantages obtained by collaborating with NPOs are stable and supportable.

Abstract: As proposed in The Outline of National Medium and Long-term Science and Technology Development Plan(2006- 2020),the contribution rate of ST progress to economic development in China will exceed 60% by 2020.However,the commonly used measurement of Solow residual is not applicable to some newly industrialized countries and high-tech zones in China.To solve the problem,the paper importes coefficients of ST progress and return to scale to modify the production and provide empirical analysis based on the panel data of high-tech zones and the locality-city.

Abstract: Using a spatial varying-coefficient regression model of spatial econometric method which called geographically weighted regression, under the global background of the whole regional innovation of China,a spatial econometric analysis is performed.The global OLS estimation results discover that enterprise RD has contribution to the innovation capability of China's 31 provincial regions while university RD does not contribute obviously to the provincial innovation capability.The combination of university and enterprise does not have positive impact on innovation also.The local geographically weighed regression estimation results show that enterprise RD does capability and human capital do have positive impact on the capital regional innovation competence.The powerful RD production of the capital area have not close quarters diffusion and does not provide the proper contribution to the capital innovation capability.Setting up technology transfer channel and interactive mechanism between university and enterprise RD is a key problem for the capital region to link the university,enterprise and regional innovation.

Abstract: This paper employs spatial econometrics techniques to make an empirical study of the spatial pattern of China's RD spillovers at provincial level.In general,the spatial dependences of provincial RD knowledge production are found to be existed,and RD spillovers are found to be locally bounded.Under the given conditions,spatial lag model shows that an average increase of 0.22 percent in a regional patent production caused by one percent increase in neighboring regional patent production.Moreover,a decay process of provincial innovation is found to be existed by considering the research effort made by neighboring regions.

Abstract: Previous researches neglecting the networks in which firms are embedded can lead to an incomplete understanding of innovations.We develop a multilevel conceptual model of the effects of strategic network properties on both radical and incremental forms of firm-level innovations.The central argument is that structural embeddedness,with its focus on the key network properties,influence incremental and radical forms of innovations.This reasoning leads us to a dynamic,co-evolutionary model of innovations,advances our understanding of incremental and radical innovations and provides intriguing possibilities for future research.

Abstract: Since 1978,technology importing aggregate and RD input of our country increase very fast.The increase of two inputs influences the TFP's improving of our country.Based on current literatures,after assessing CES production function by NLS,some conclusions are drawn.Although technology importing and RD input add the technology and knowledge of our country,the TFP didn't improve quickly.The proportion between technology importing and RD input isn't rational.We should input more RD to strengthen economic's stamina.
