Abstract
A thermodynamic inconsistency in the Pelton–Flengas analytical solution of the Gibbs–Duhem equation for ternary systems has been identified. A new analytical solution is presented and a reasonable calculation procedure is suggested. A sample calculation has been carried out for the Zn–In–Cd system, using a Fortran 77 computer program designed for the purpose. The results are in good agreement with those obtained graphically. The whole calculation only requires ca. 1 min computer time.

The kinetic behavior for the electrochemical polymerization of aniline in aqueous solution

TL;DR: In this article, the activation energy of aniline oxidation in 0.8 M HCl solution was investigated using repeated potential cycling between 0 and 1.1 V, and it was shown that the activation energies of the two different activation energies are smaller than 21 kJ mol −1.

Electropolymerization of 3-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole on glassy carbon electrode and its electrocatalytic activity towards uric acid

TL;DR: In this article, the electropolymerization of 3-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole (AMTa) on glassy carbon electrode (GCE) and the electrocatalytic activity of the resulting polymer film towards uric acid (UA) at physiological pH.

High-temperature isopiestic studies on {(1 − y)Hg + y(1 − t)Bi + ytSn}(I) at 600 K. Comparison with the partial ideal-solution model

TL;DR: In this paper, the activities of Hg in binary sub-systems were measured at 600 K using a high-temperature isopiestic technique and the results approximately fit the partial ideal-solution model.

Effect of Fenton reagent on the synthesis of polyaniline

TL;DR: The conductivity of polyaniline prepared using Fenton reagent can reach 1.04×10−2 S cm−1, which is strongly dependent on the concentrations of FeSO4, H2SO4 and polymerization time as mentioned in this paper.

High-temperature isopiestic studies on the ternary slag pbo-sio(2)-b(2)o(3) at 1273-k

TL;DR: In this paper, an improved high-temperature isopiestic technique has been applied to the ternary slag PbO-SiO2-B2O3 and its binary subsystems at 1273 K.
