TLDR
A new grifolin derivative, named grifolene (1), together with Grifolin(2), neogrifolin (3), and grifolic acid (4) was isolated from the fruiting bodies of the fungus Albatrellus yasuda as discussed by the authors.
Abstract
A new grifolin derivative, named grifolene (1), together with grifolin (2), neogrifolin (3) and grifolic acid (4) was isolated from the fruiting bodies of the fungus Albatrellus yasuda. The structure of 1 was elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis.

Journal ArticleDOI

The chemistry and biology of fungal meroterpenoids (2009-2019).

TL;DR: This review provides a systematic overview of the isolation, chemical structural features, biological activities, and fungal biodiversity of 1585 novel meroterpenoids from 79 genera terrestrial and marine-derived fungi including macrofungi, Basidiomycetes, in 441 research papers in 2009-2019.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isolation of three new meroterpenoids and seven known compounds from Albatrellus yasudae and their Aβ-aggregation inhibitory activity.

TL;DR: This study targeted compounds that inhibit amyloid-beta (Aβ) aggregation, based on the amyloids cascade hypothesis, and isolated 10 compounds from CHCl3 extracts of the mushroom Albatrellus yasudae using Aβ-aggregation inhibitory activity-guided separation.
