Mechanism of inhibition of electrode reactions at high surface coverages - II
TL;DR: In this article, the inhibition of Cu 2+, Cd 2+ and Zn 2+ discharge reactions was studied in the presence of C 4 -C 6 alcohols, phenol, benzyl alcohol and cyclohexanol (SAS).

The retardation of electrochemical reactions by adsorbed organic molecules; a quantitative treatment involving the theory of irreversible polarographic
TL;DR: In this article, the authors derived the irreversible polarographic wave at constant coverage (IRW) with respect to the capacity of the cathodic discharge of Cu2+, Cd2+ and Zn2+ by adsorbed n-butanol under similar conditions of adsorption and inhibition.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of adsorption of neutral molecules and organic cations on the kinetics of electrode processes
TL;DR: In this article, the dependence of the kinetics of electrode processes on the adsorption of the reacting particles at small coverages is treated on the assumption that the process rate is proportional to the amount adsorbed.

Effect of n-amyl alcohol on the electrode kinetics of the V(II)/V(III) and Cr(II)/Cr(III) systems
TL;DR: The result suggests that the electrode reaction takes place only at the time when each n water molecule aggregate is replaced by each of the electro-active ions at the electrode; that is, the “blocking effect” predominates at low coverages.
