Electroosmosis: A reliable fluid propulsion system for flow injection analysis

TL;DR: In this article, an electroosmosis-based fluid propulsion system is described, in which the pump is isolated from other components by a grounding joint that is electrically conductive and permits the pumped fluid to be hydrodynamically coupled to contents downstream without leakage.

Capillary zone electrophoresis

TL;DR: The wider range of acid and base strengths possible in solvents other than water, as well as the ability to solvate very hydrophobic solutes, could greatly expand the range of substances amenable to electrophoretic separation and analysis.
