TLDR
In this article, the effect of heat treatment, particle size and phosphorus content on the wear characteristics of composite electroless coating containing diamond particles was investigated and the results indicated substantial increase in wear resistance after the coated sample containing 9-10 wt% P content having fine diamond particle size is annealed around 350°C.

Development of a multiple micro diamond wheel-tools

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a novel and economical compound technique that combines co-deposition with micro w-EDM for precisely developing a multiple micro diamond wheel-tools, where the wheel-blank is made of diamond grit of 0-2 µm grade by electrochemical technique, in which employs a designed micro tank with ideal convection and mini porous carrier.

Caracterización tribológica de recubrimientos de níquel químico-teflón obtenidos en un baño con diferentes períodos de envejecimiento

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present results of the caracterización tribologica of diferent recubrimientos with the estructura sustrato Niquel quimico/NQ-PTFE depositados sobre acero al carbono, with una proporcion de teflon presente in el NQ-pTFE de alrededor del 20 %.

Chapter 9 – Surface Morphologies

Bangwei Zhang
TL;DR: In this article, the surface morphology of electroless plating (EP) alloy deposits is analyzed using the systematical data for the SEM morphologies of the EP Ni-P, Ni-Sn-P and Ni-Cu-P amorphous and crystalline alloy deposits, and the effects of various parameters (metal salts, reductant, complexing agents, stabilizers, surfactants, temperature, pH values and plating time) on SEM were discussed.

The measurement of wear resistance

Howard S. Avery
- 01 Nov 1961 -
TL;DR: In this article, a discussion of several important aspects of evaluating wear resistance is presented, focusing on abrasion, which is a large area of the complex field of wear, and the merit of these several qualities should be checked by statistical mathematics to avoid erroneous conclusions and misplaced confidence.
