Abstract
An air flow rate sensor and throttle valve which controls the opening of a duct in accordance with the detection signals from the air flow rate sensor are provided in a control duct between a supply chamber utilizing double ceilings and the air diffusers in the supply chamber. The quantities of air fed from the respective air diffusers can be equalized or can be set to the desired values. In this case, since the air blowing can be automatically controlled for each diffuser, it is not necessary to individually adjust the quantities of air for the respective air diffusers after the installation of the air conditioner, thereby eliminating the adjusting works of the air diffusers.

Mechanical refrigeration system with a high turndown ratio

Craig Andrews
TL;DR: In this article, the authors consider the problem of adjusting the refrigeration capacity to control the amount of electrical energy taken from the grid for a specific application where ice is being manufactured, where to maintain product quality the varying refrigeration system must be followed by a variance in the heat load that is applied to the system.

Apparatus and method for energy recovery

TL;DR: In this paper, a heat recovery apparatus for recovering latent heat of adsorption from a humid gas is described, where a desiccant material is provided within the gas flow passage such that the humid gas contacts the descant material and water vapour is adsorbed releasing latent heat.

Flow control apparatus and air filters

TL;DR: In this article, a high efficiency air filter system of the type used in clean rooms and the like, and having a sliding plate valve associated with each filter, is described, where a highly viscous, non-evaporating fluid is positioned between the plates to prevent the air from flowing laterally between them, whereby the volume of air flow may be accurately controlled over the entire area of the clean room as well as the full area of each filter.

Central air conditioning equipment

TL;DR: In this article, a central air conditioning equipment which performs air conditioning for a plurality of rooms, comprises a terminal air quantity control unit which is installed in order to communicate with each room and which controls the quantity of the air stream which is distributed to each room through a duct, and an air quantity controller device, attached to an air conditioner, which controls a blower to reduce the blown air quantity until at least one of dampers reaches a first position to allow air flow when all of the dampers are not in the first position.

Color receiving tube

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed to compensate the dynamic convergence error in arc shape due to the sealing error of electronic gun and the assembling error of deflection coil by providing magnets around the external circumference of the neck part between the tip of the electronic firearm and the deflection center of a deflection cone.
