Analysis of time-cost-quality tradeoff optimization in construction project management

TLDR
This paper presents the time_cost_quality tradeoff optimization model using multi_attribute utility function theory and shows that by applying network planning techniques and genetic algorithms, the most satisfied decision result can be obtained.
Abstract
Time control, cost control and quality control are main aspects in construction project management. Taking time, cost and quality into account simultaneously, and keeping the balance among them during the whole process of project management are significant for the improvement of the overall benefits of construction projects. This paper presents the time_cost_quality tradeoff optimization model using multi_attribute utility function theory. Applying network planning techniques and genetic algorithms, the most satisfied decision result can be obtained. At the end of this paper, a case study is given to verify the feasibility and practicability of the model.
