Modeling solid oxide fuel cell operation: Approaches, techniques and results

TL;DR: In this paper, a three-dimensional, time-dependent SOFC numerical model is defined, considering all the phenomena occurring in each component of the fuel cell, and the equations are written in a partial differential form, thus the model is independent from the cell geometry and the modeling approach.

Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell Performance Model

TL;DR: In this article, a two-dimensional numerical model is developed to simulate nonisothermal performance of molten carbonate fuel cells, taking account of gas stream utilization due to electrochemical reaction, conductive heat transfer between cell hardware and gas streams, energy transfer accompanying mass addition to the bulk streams, convective heat transfer by the bulk stream, and inplane heat conduction through the cell hardware.
