TLDR
In this article, the selectivity coefficients of liquid-membrane electrodes for common inorganic anions were measured in electrodes containing tris(l,10-phenanthroline)iron(II), tris (4,7-diphenyl-1,10phenanthyl-iron)iron (II) or tetraheptylammonium ion in nitrobenzene, and tris[n-amyl alcohol as the liquid membrane, suggesting that aqueous phase solvation energies play a predominant role in determining electrode select

Theory and applications of ion-selective electrodes part II

TL;DR: A review on ion-selective electrodes is arranged in the same way as Part I in this paper, where substantial growth of the whole subject is emphasized, and progress in theory centres on the mechanism of the response of both solid and liquid membrane systems.

Electroanalytical Chemistry of Membranes

TL;DR: The thrust of electrochemistry in the past 25 years has been the study of electrode processes at blocked and unblocked electrodes, primarily metal/electrolyte interfaces.

Membrane Selection and ISFET Configuration Evaluation for Soil Nitrate Sensing

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate matrix membranes produced from different combinations of ligand and plasticizer materials using ion-selective electrode (ISE) technology, and use selected membranes to develop a nitrate ionselective field effect transistor (ISFET) which might be integrated with a flow injection analysis (FIA) system for real-time soil analysis.

Potentiometric detection in flow analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, special aspects of ion-selective electrodes relevant to applications in flow-through systems are discussed, and the predominant role of the dynamic response characteristics of the sensor, especially in flowinjection analysis, is emphasized.
