Spatial Processing Using High-Fidelity Models of Dual-Polarization Antenna Elements
TL;DR: In this paper , a generalized spatial processing algorithm was proposed to optimize body-mounted arrays of dual-polarization radio-frequency antenna elements rather than single polarization antenna elements.
Journal ArticleDOI
Study on the Composite Electromagnetic Scattering from 3D Conductor Multi-Objects above the Rough Surface
TL;DR: The dual Debye sweater permittivity model is adopted to simulate the real sea surface environment, the coupling MoM-PO model of composite scattering from multi-objects on and above the sea surface is established, and the composite electromagnetic scattering coefficient is obtained in virtue of the interaction between object area and rough surface area calculated by the MLFMA and FAFFA.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Metal antenna for 5G mobile networks
TL;DR: The simulation results show this newly designed multiband loop antenna consisting of a wireless fidelity antenna, a global positioning system antenna, and a diversity antenna satisfies general requirements for commercial use.
Journal ArticleDOI
Insights into Fabrication and Measurements of PCB-Based Passive Millimeter Wave Antennas
G. S. Karthikeya,Shiban K. Koul +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a solution to design and deploy antennas which operate in the millimeter wave spectrum integrated in a cellular network. But, there is a need for design and deployment of antennas that operate in a millimeter-wave spectrum.

Smart metasurface with self-adaptively reprogrammable functions
TL;DR: A smart metasurface that has self-adaptively reprogrammable functionalities without human participation is put forth, capable of sensing ambient environments by integrating an additional sensor(s) and can adaptively adjust its EM operational functionality through an unmanned sensing feedback system.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Minding the Billions: Ultra-wideband Localization for Deployed RFID Tags
TL;DR: This paper presents RFind, a new technology that brings the benefits of ultra-wideband localization to the billions of RFIDs in today's world and can emulate over 220MHz of bandwidth on tags designed with a communication bandwidth of only tens to hundreds of kHz, while remaining compliant with FCC regulations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Review: Security in wireless ad-hoc networks - A survey
TL;DR: This paper surveys emerging and established wireless ad-hoc technologies and highlights their security/privacy features and deficiencies, and identifies open research issues and technology challenges for each surveyed technology.
Journal ArticleDOI
Breathfinding: A Wireless Network That Monitors and Locates Breathing in a Home
TL;DR: Using RSS measurements on the links between commercial wireless devices to locate where a breathing person is located and to estimate their breathing rate, in a home, while the person is sitting, lying down, standing, or sleeping is explored.
Journal ArticleDOI
Personal Mobile Radars with Millimeter-Wave Massive Arrays for Indoor Mapping
TL;DR: Numerical results show that the idea herein investigated is feasible, and that a significant mapping performance is attainable even employing coarse antenna arrays provided that the number of antenna elements is sufficiently high.
