Abstract
Variations in specific conductivity during hydration and setting of cements and clinker minerals have been reported. Measurements on the specific conductivity, for 48 hrs at regular intervals, of the suspensions of cement with adequate W/C ratio have shown two peaks in a plot of time vs specific conductivity and only one peak in case of clinker mineral. The effect of gypsum additive on specific conductivity during hydration of cement is also described. Suitable explanations for variations in conductivity, and effect of gypsum on conductivity, during hydration and setting of cements have been proposed.

Influence of chemical composition and inorganic admixtures on the electrical conductivity of hydrating cement pastes

TL;DR: In this paper, the relationship between the heat of hydration and electrical conductivity curves is discussed and the results are tentatively explained in terms of some physical and chemical parameters, including the order in which the cations of inorganic admixtures (chlorides and hydroxides) were found to increase the peak and rate of development of the electrical conductivities is the same order that they have been found to increasing the heat liberated upon hydration of systems containing these admixtures.

Combination of Milimeter Wave Spectroscopy, Ultrasonic Testing Techniques to Monitor Curing Evolution of TRC Plates

TL;DR: In this article , two types of non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques are used to study the mechanical properties of the materials without destroying, nor compromising, such properties: millimeter wave (MMW) spectroscopy and ultrasonic testing.

Approach by zeta-potential measurement on the surface change of hydrating C3S

TL;DR: In this article, the adsorption of Ca 2+ on C 3 S surface and the formation of C-S-H in the induction period of C 3S hydration were investigated by measuring zeta-potential, heat evolution change and by analyzing dissolved ions.
