Metal-ion assisted reactions of oximes and reactivity of oxime-containing metal complexes

TL;DR: A review of metal-ion assisted reactions of oximes and reactivity of oxime-containing metal complexes has been presented in this paper, where the authors made an attempt to show general features of some reactions and to systematize reaction types.
Journal ArticleDOI

Aerobic oxidation of thiols to disulfides by heterogeneous gold catalysts

TL;DR: It is shown that the reaction can occur through the coupling of two sulphur radicals on the metal surface, which strongly resembles that found for sulfhydryl oxidases, a class of enzymes which are involved in the oxidative protein folding through de novo formation of disulfides from thiols.

Dinitrogen Tetroxide Copper Nitrate Complex [Cu(NO3)2.N2O4] As a New Nitrosating Agent for Catalytic Coupling of Thiols via Thionitrite

TL;DR: In this article, a catalytic and efficient oxidative coupling of thiols to disulfides is described using Cu(NO3)2.N2O4 as a new and efficient nitrosating agent in acetone at room temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cobalt–iron magnetic composites as heterogeneous catalysts for the aerobic oxidation of thiols under alkali free conditions

TL;DR: Cobalt-iron magnetic composites prepared by the thermal treatment of an iron oxide-rich soil in the presence of sucrose and cobalt(II) sulfate are efficient heterogeneous catalysts for the liquid-phase aerobic oxidation of thiols into disulfides.

3-Carboxypyridinium Chlorochromate: An Inexpensive and Efficient Reagent for Cleavage of Carbon-Nitrogen Double Bonds Under Non-Aqueous Condtion

TL;DR: The 3-Carboxypyridinium chlorochromate (CPCC) reagent is an inexpensive, easily prepared and stable reagent that can be used to convert oximes, phenylhydrazones, p-nitrophenylhydrasones, semicarbazones and azines as discussed by the authors.
