It is demonstrated that to get a good reception system, the antenna features can offer better performances and can improved the multi-antenna processing used today (Maximum Ratio Combining), which use the Signal to Noise Ratio as optimization criteria.
Abstract
This paper presents the sounding methods and the calculation of SNR and MER over Data point constellation diagram. It gives some examples of antenna measurements and performance analysis. It is demonstrated that to get a good reception system, the antenna features can offer better performances and can improved the multi-antenna processing used today (Maximum Ratio Combining), which use the Signal to Noise Ratio as optimization criteria. The final antennas array chosen for vectorial channel sounding is presented. Architecture of the multi-antenna receiver and numerical signal processing are described.
