Abstract
Este texto apresenta algumas das principais concepcoes sobre curriculos orientados por competencia, analisando essas distintas abordagens em funcao do referencial teorico que as fundamenta, de suas dimensoes constituintes e das consequentes implicacoes na organizacao curricular. Aponta, no novo significado trazido pela abordagem dialogica de competencia, um caminho para a integracao da teoria e da pratica na formacao de profissionais de saude.
