Do shocks last forever? Local persistency in economic time series

TL;DR: In this article, a test for stationarity against locally persistent alternative is proposed and asymptotic analysis of the test statistic are provided under both the null and the alternative hypothesis of local persistency.
Journal ArticleDOI

A nonparametric test for the evaluation of group sequential clinical trials with covariate information

TL;DR: The proposed two-sample U-statistic is applied to the analysis of data from a Parkinson disease clinical trial, and it is demonstrated that the significance of the effect associated with deprenyl could be detected at an early stage.

Smooth test for testing equality of two densities

TL;DR: In this paper, a modified version of Neyman Smooth test that can also be derived as a score test based on the empirical distribution functions obtained from the two samples remarkably improves the detection of directions of departure.
