Spatial distribution analysis of seismic activity based on GMI, LMI, and LISA in China

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper analyzed the spatial distribution of China's seismic activities by using the provincial seismic data from 1970 to 2013, and they found that earthquakes in mainland China have significant global autocorrelation characteristics as a whole, and the global auto-correlation coefficients are all positive.
Journal ArticleDOI

Regulation of Planting Structure Considering Irrigation Water, Carbon Emission, and Grain Security in the Yellow River Basin, China, by Using Multisource Data

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors used multisource data to facilitate the analysis of diverse grain species characteristics and sustainable grain development while considering the water-energy-food nexus, and found that, with effective planting structure regulation, 4.11×108 m3 irrigation water and 16.98×104 tons CO2 equivalents could be reduced.

Object based image analysis for remote sensing

TL;DR: This paper gives an overview of the development of object based methods, which aim to delineate readily usable objects from imagery while at the same time combining image processing and GIS functionalities in order to utilize spectral and contextual information in an integrative way.

Karst Geomorphology and Hydrology

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of climate, climatic change and other environmental factors on karst development is discussed. And the authors present a detailed analysis of the chemical and kinetic behavior of the kars.

Geographic Object-Based Image Analysis - Towards a new paradigm.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the limitations of prevailing per-pixel methods when applied to high-resolution images and explore the paradigm concept developed by Kuhn (1962) and discuss whether GEOBIA can be regarded as a paradigm according to this definition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Calculation of radiative fluxes from the surface to top of atmosphere based on ISCCP and other global data sets: Refinements of the radiative transfer model and the input data

TL;DR: Zhang et al. as discussed by the authors used a more advanced NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) radiative transfer model and improved ISCCP cloud climatology and ancillary data sets.
