TL;DR: Neglect and hemianopia interact so that opposing biases in the perception of body orientation neutralise each other.

Line bisection as an early method to assess homonymous hemianopia.

TL;DR: The typical line bisection error observed in hemianopic patients who show the opposite deviation was well known in the old German scientific literature as discussed by the authors, however, this contralesional deviation was "neglected" for many decades until its recent "rediscovery".

Line bisection in unilateral homonymous visual field defects
TL;DR: The present study is the first to examine line bisection in a large, representative sample of patients with unilateral homonymous visual field defects, and supports the recent finding that the contralesional bisection error is not a direct consequence of the visual field defect.

Is the origin of the hemianopic line bisection error purely visual? Evidence from eye movements in simulated hemianopia.
TL;DR: Although simulated hemianopia impaired line bisection and induced the adaptive oculomotor eye-movement pattern of hemianopic patients, it did not induce the contralateral bisection error, suggesting that neither the visual field defect nor oculmotor adaptation to it are the primary causes of the hemianopy bisectionerror.
