Journal ArticleDOI

Adsorption-induced unusual changes in the electrical conductivity of ferrocene

TL;DR: In this article, a conductivity peak is observed in the plot of the measured electrical current vs temperature for a sandwich cell of pure ferrocene powders with adsorbed organic vapours at low vapour pressures.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new phase transition at about the room temperature and irregular thermal behaviour in the metastable state of γ-irradiated ferrocene

TL;DR: In this paper, the thermal expansion of γ-irradiated ferrocene samples is studied in cooling-heating cycles between the liquid nitrogen temperature and 375 K, and the existence of the phase transition already known at ∼ 164 K is confirmed in addition to the detection of an irreversible sharp peak at ∼ 300K.

Pre-exponential Factor in Semiconducting Vitamin A (Alcohol and Acetate)

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the semiconductive properties of vitamin A (alcohol and acetate) on adsorption of various vapors and showed that the adsorbed vapors increase the semiconductor currents by several orders of magnitude and decrease the semiconduction activation energies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural and lattice-energy analyses of the different low-temperature phases of ferrocene Fe(C5H5)2: Relation between the molecular packings

TL;DR: In this article, the lattice energy of the triclinic phase of ferrocene has been analyzed at 130 K and 15 K and it has been shown that it has two possible molecular packings, quite energetically similar, of face-centred or P 1 symmetry.
Journal ArticleDOI

Compensation effect in the electrical conduction process in some polyene semiconductors

TL;DR: In this paper, the validity of the compensation rule is studied for some polyene semiconductors namely, β-apo-8′-carotenal, astacene, and methyl bixin.
Journal ArticleDOI

Compensation Effect in the Electrical Conduction Process in a Series of Naphthyl Polyenes

TL;DR: In this article, the semiconductive properties of a series of naphthyl polyenes of the type R(CHCH)nR were studied as a function of the adsorption of different vapours.
