Abstract
This text gives an account of an ellipsoidal calculus and ellipsoidal techniques that allows presentation of the set-valued solutions to these problems in terms of approximating ellipsoidal-valued functions. Such an approach leads to effective computation schemes, an dopens the way to applications and implementations with computer animation, particularly in decision support systems. The problems treated here are those that involve calculation of attainability domains, of control synthesis under bounded controls, state constraints and unknown input disturbances, as well as those of "viability" and of the "bounding approach" to state estimation. The text ranges from a specially developed theory of exact set-valued solutions to the description of ellipsoidal calculus, related ellipsoidal-based methods and examples worked out with computer graphics. the calculus given here may also be interpreted as a generalized technique of the "interval analysis" type with an impact on scientific computation.

Tracking within a time interval on the basis of data supplied by finite observers

TL;DR: In this paper, the tracking control problem is formulated as follows: a trajectory of a system of linear ordinary differential equations should be brought into a neighborhood of a trajectory trajectory of another system within a given time interval, and the trajectory of the first subsystem in the neighborhood should be kept in it for a time interval of given duration.

Efficient solution of a qp optimization problem with zonotopic constraints

TL;DR: This paper analyzes the advantages of describing the constraint set of a constrained optimization problem by an (inner-approximating) zonotope and notes that by using the generator description characterizing zonOTopes the authors can exploit their special structure in order to obtain a simpler formulation of the optimization problem.

On the problem of output feedback control synthesis under uncertainty and finite-time observers

TL;DR: In this article, the problem of synthesizing a control that brings the trajectories of the system into a given target set in finite time is solved under weakened conditions without assuming that the control and the disturbance are of the same type.

The joint model and state estimation problem under set-membership uncertainty

TL;DR: In this article, the authors deal with combined estimation of the state and of the system model for a continuous-time system under uncertain perturbations which may arise not only in the inputs but also in the system parameters.

On Stability of Guaranteed Estimation Problems: Error Bounds for Information Domains and Experimental Design

TL;DR: In this paper, guaranteed estimation problems related to semi-infinite programming theory are considered, and the experimental design problem for estimation of distributed system with uncertain parameters through available measurements is also considered in the context of guaranteed estimation theory.
