Empirical Evaluation of Gamow-Teller Strength Function for Cl-37 --> Ar-37 and its Implication in the Cross Section for Solar Neutrino Absorption by Cl-37

TLDR
In this paper, the Gamow-Teller strength for neutrino absorption in the angular range of 0, 30, √ √ ifmmode^ √circ\circ\else\text degree\fi{} was obtained.
Abstract
Neutron spectra from $^{37}\mathrm{Cl}$($p$,$n$)$^{37}\mathrm{Ar}$ at ${E}_{p}=120$ MeV are measured in the angular range 0\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}-30\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}. Neutron groups characterized with $L=0$ transfer are obtained up to approximately 12-MeV excitation energy in $^{37}\mathrm{Ar}$. From the observed 0\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} cross section the Gamow-Teller strengths for $^{37}\mathrm{Cl}$\ensuremath{\rightarrow}$^{37}\mathrm{Ar}$ transitions are obtained which are directly related to neutrino absorption by $^{37}\mathrm{Cl}$. The cross section for $^{8}\mathrm{B}$ solar neutrinos incident on $^{37}\mathrm{Cl}$ is reported.

TL;DR: In this article, the experimentally determined properties of energy levels of A = 21−44 nuclei are compiled and evaluated with emphasis on nuclear spectroscopy, and the available information on excitation energies, spins, parities, isospins, lifetimes or widths and observed decay is summarized in a master table.

Nuclear spin isospin responses for low-energy neutrinos

TL;DR: Nuclear spin isospin responses for low-energy neutrinos of current astroparticle physics interests are reviewed in this paper, where the nuclear weak processes involved are vector and axial-vector weak interactions.

Physics of neutrinos

TL;DR: The neutrino was first conjectured by W. Pauli in a letter written in 1930 as discussed by the authors as "verzweifeltes Ausweg" in order to save the energy conservation law in the nuclear beta-decay process, in which the emitted electron exhibits a continuous energy spectrum.

Gamow-Teller strength extraction from ( 3 He, t) reactions

TL;DR: In this article, Gamow-Teller (GT) and Fermi (F) strength extraction from charge exchange reactions at intermediate energies, as well as the concept of using the phenomenological effective interaction for the description of the reactions are reviewed.

Neutrino-induced reaction cross sections at intermediate energies for chlorine and water detectors

TL;DR: In this article, the relativistic Fermi-gas model yields a cross section that joins smoothly to the microscopic estimation for the lower energy region for the detection of solar-flare neutrinos.
