This letter presents a complete equivalent circuit of a receive antenna in terms of the radiation field function of the element and of the amplitude and phase of the incoming wave.
Abstract
This letter presents a complete equivalent circuit of a receive antenna. The induced voltage or current in this equivalent circuit is expressed in terms of the radiation field function of the element and of the amplitude and phase of the incoming wave. ©1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Radiation efficiency, correlation, diversity gain and capacity of a six-monopole antenna array for a MIMO system: theory, simulation and measurement in reverberation chamber

TL;DR: In this article, a six-monopole circular antenna array for use in a MIMO system is considered and the authors show how to calculate the embedded element patterns, both by classical analytical modeling and by the method of moments.

Minimizing the Noise Penalty Due to Mutual Coupling for a Receiving Array

TL;DR: For non-beamforming applications such as multiple input multiple output communications, it is shown that noise performance for coupled arrays can be quantified using the spectrum of an equivalent receiver noise temperature correlation matrix.

A Hybrid UCA-RARE/Root-MUSIC Approach for 2-D Direction of Arrival Estimation in Uniform Circular Arrays in the Presence of Mutual Coupling

TL;DR: In this article, a new hybrid algorithm that combines the uniform circular array-RAnk REduction (UCA-RARE) and Root-MUSIC algorithm for 2D direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation of azimuth and elevation angle is presented for uniform circular arrays in the presence of mutual coupling.

Detection of a polarization imbalance in reverberation chambers and how to remove it by polarization stirring when measuring antenna efficiencies

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the results depend strongly on the orientation of the antenna under test and thereby on its polarization, and how this imbalance can be removed by using three orthogonal fixed antennas instead of one.

Efficiencies and System Temperature for a Beamforming Array

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors use noise considerations to generalize the single-antenna conventions for aperture efficiency, spillover efficiency, radiation efficiency, and system temperature to arrays, leading to a new noise matching efficiency that quantifies the effect of mutual coupling on amplifier noise.
