TLDR
In this article, a method for optimising the feed position of a prime focus reflector antenna from phase and amplitude recordings of the radiated field is given, and the improved radiation pattern and detailed profile map of the reflector attained after feed position correction.
Abstract
A method for optimising the feed position of a prime focus reflector antenna from phase and amplitude recordings of the radiated field is given. Experimental results illustrate the improved radiation pattern and the detailed profile map of the reflector attained after feed position correction.

Phase retrieval in the radio holography of reflector antennas and radio telescopes

TL;DR: In this article, the Misell algorithm has been used successfully to retrieve the aperture phase distribution from two numerically simulated power polar diagrams, one in focus and the second defocused, using no auxilliary reference antenna.

A Practical Approach to Locate Offset Reflector Focal Point and Antenna Misalignment Using Vectorial Representation of Far-Field Radiation Patterns

TL;DR: In this article, a direct and unambiguous approach to determine the focal point of a single offset reflector is presented based on iteratively defocusing the primary feed laterally and axially.

Antenna aperture phase retrieval

TL;DR: In this article, a modified Gerchberg-Saxton algori thm was developed for retrieving the copolar aperture field phase distribution from the far field copolar amplitude pattern.

Developments in Microwave Holographic Imaging

TL;DR: In this article, the evolution of microwave imaging is traced from its origin as a primitive analogue of optical holography to its present stage as a diagnostic imaging technique in its own right.

Lateral-feed displacement in a paraboloid

TL;DR: In this article, the beam shift and degradation of a paraboloidal reflector with an offset feed is analyzed by the scalar plane wave theory, and the beam characteristics for a tapered circularly symmetric illumination are presented.

Microwave holographic metrology of large reflector antennas

TL;DR: In this paper, a microwave holographic technique for the determination of amplitude and phase of the principal and cross-polarized aperture fields of large reflector antennas is described, which utilizes the elevation over azimuth scanning system normally associated with these antennas, and appears to be unique among other proposed methods of field probing.
