Hysteresis in metal-hydrogen systems: a critical review of the experimental observations and theoretical models

TLDR
Experimental observations of, and theoretical models for, hysteresis in metal-hydrogen systems are reviewed in this article, where the authors show that the magnitude of the hystresis is affected by many different factors including temperature, alloy composition, hydrogen aliquot size, annealing of metal sample, number of absorption/desorption cycles and particle size.
