Study on the surface quality of CFRP machined by micro-textured milling tools

TL;DR: In this article, two kinds of surface structures were fabricated on the rake face of the carbide double-edge milling tool: (1) linear grooves parallel to the main cutting edge (named PAM); (2) linear girders perpendicular to the machined edge (called PEM), and the results showed that the surface quality of machined by the micro-textured milling tools is improved over that by the conventional one.

The coupling effect of micro-groove textures and nanofluids on cutting performance of uncoated cemented carbide tools in milling Ti-6Al-4V

TL;DR: In this article, the rake face of uncoated cutting tool was textured with micro-groove parallel to the main cutting edge by YAG laser (named TP), and cutting tools without laser surface texturing (named NT) were also employed for comparison.
