In this paper, a travelling-wave antenna for integrated use in nonradiative dielectric waveguide is described, which is constructed by cutting a longitudinal slot in the waveguide side wall.
Abstract
A travelling-wave antenna for integrated use in nonradiative dielectric waveguide is described. The antenna is constructed by cutting a longitudinal slot in the waveguide side wall. Results are presented showing the comparison between measured and calculated data.

A leaky-wave antenna in nonradiative dielectric waveguide

TL;DR: In this paper, a leaky-wave mechanism in a nonradiative dielectric (NRD) waveguide is described, which consists of a long slot in one ground plane of the NRD guide; the currents present in the side walls cause the slot to radiate as a traveling-wave antenna.

Radiation properties of a long slot in the broad wall of a waveguide

TL;DR: In this paper, the radiation properties of long slots cut into the broad wall of a rectangular metal waveguide are described, and an approximate method for calculating the impedance properties of the slot yields acceptable values of attenuation and phase for the travelling wave in the waveguide.

Noninvasive pulse modulator concept for nonradiative dielectric (NRD) waveguide

TL;DR: In this paper, the principle of a novel modulator for use with NRD waveguide is described and preliminary results are presented, where the modulator can be used for a variety of applications.

Sources for optical fiber sensors

TL;DR: In this paper, a wide range of optical fiber sensors available, and their varied demands, there is an associated range of sources which may be used to illuminate and energize these sensor devices.

Nonradiative dielectric waveguide millimetre-wave integrated circuits: A review

Bevan D. Bates, +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a review of the state-of-the-art in the area of active components, design and analysis methods, and fabrication techniques for millimeter wave circuits.

Antenna theory and design

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an approach for the synthesis of a single antenna array from a single-antenna array using a modified version of Taylor's Taylor diagram and a modified Taylor diagram with a modified ring side lobe topography.
