Journal ArticleDOI
Theoretical and Shock Tube Study of the Rate Constants for Hydrogen Abstraction Reactions of Ethyl Formate.
TL;DR: The theoretical rate constants of OH + EF → products agree well with the experimental results within 15% over the experimental temperature range of 900-1321 K, and branching ratios for the five types of H-abstraction reactions were also determined from their individual site-specific rate constants.
Journal ArticleDOI
A computational study on the kinetics of pyrolysis of isopropyl propionate as a biodiesel model: DFT and ab initio investigation
Abolfazl Shiroudi,Kimihiko Hirao,Kazunari Yoshizawa,Mohammednoor Altarawneh,Mohammednoor Altarawneh,Mohamed A. Abdel-Rahman,Asmaa B. El-Meligy,Ahmed M. El-Nahas +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a computational kinetic study on the pyrolysis of isopropyl propionate (IPP) as a biodiesel model using density functional theory (DFT), namely ωB97XD and M06-2X levels, was performed.
Book ChapterDOI
Gas-Phase Heterolysis
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of substitution in a parent molecule upon the rate of a given reaction can be effectively studied without the complications arising from the co-operative effects of the solvent, as can occur in reactions in solution.
Book ChapterDOI
Chapter 4 The Unimolecular Decomposition and Isomerization of Oxygenated Organic Compounds (other than Aldehydes and Ketones)
W.H. Richardson,H.E. O'Neal +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, substituent effects, linear free energy relations, kinetic isotope studies, and conformation analysis of products are discussed, and new interpretations of such data have been summarized, and in some instances new interpretations have also been presented.
