TLDR
In this paper, a limit cycle for the bromate-Mn(II)-organic substrate system is constructed experimentally and theoretically, and the experimental results agree with the theoretical expectations based on a suggested mechanism.Abstract:
Oscillations in the bromate-Mn(II)-organic substrate system are studied by following the concentrations of Mn(III) and Br2 spectrophotometrically, apart from monitoring the concentration of Br- by potentiometry. Limit cycles for the Mn(III)-Br2 combination are constructed experimentally and theoretically. The experimental results agree with the theoretical expectations based on a suggested mechanism.read more

Oscillations in chemical systems. 19. Mechanisms of chemical oscillators: experimental examples
TL;DR: The classic acid bromate oxidation of organic compounds catalyzed by cerous or manganous ions is discussed very briefly as the most studied and best understood chemical oscillators as mentioned in this paper.
