TLDR
For the case of holographic interferometry when one measures changes in position and shape of diffusely reflecting surfaces new, quite general relations determining the localization of interference fringes are derived as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract
For the case of holographic interferometry when one measures changes in position and shape of diffusely reflecting surfaces new, quite general relations determining the localization of interference fringes are derived. The important properties of fringe localization are also discussed and a useful practical solution is drawn.

V Fringe Formations in Deformation and Vibration Measurements Using Laser Light

TL;DR: In this paper, a survey on the formation of the fringe patterns observed in these methods is presented, which helps in deriving dependences of their shape and visibility on object deformation parameters and optical systems by starting from the correlation properties of the light scattered from diffuse objects.

The interpretation of holographic interferograms

TL;DR: This review paper is an attempt to rationalize the field by classifying the many different interpretation schemes into four main techniques, and by offering guidelines for the choice of technique for different applications.

Utilisation des franges d'interference en lumiere diffuse pour l'etude de l'etat de surface d'un diffuseur

TL;DR: In this paper, a diffuser, illuminated successively by light of two neighbouring wavelengths, produces on a photographic plate placed in a parallel plane two intensity distributions which are homothetic except for certain decorrelation terms.

On direct measurements of strain and rotation in holographic interferometry using the line of complete localization

TL;DR: In this paper, a line of complete localization is used to estimate the position of a deformed object in a double-exposed hologram, where the light waves reflected by the vicinity of this point have all the same phase shift.

Chapter 4 Fringe Interpretation in Holographic Interferometry

TL;DR: The kinematics of the deformation of a body and the formation of holographic images will be combined, to explain how holography can be used to measure deformations.

Formation and Localization of Holographically Produced Interference Fringes

TL;DR: Theoretical and experimental studies on the formation and localization of holographically produced interference fringes were described in this article, where the correlation between the wave fields produced by the two objects identical in shape but different in the relative position attains the maximum value.
