A four-pole dual mode elliptic filter realized in circular cavity without screws

TL;DR: In this paper, a four-pole dual-mode elliptic filter is realized in circular cavity without screws by using a novel arrangement consisting in the insertion of a short section of inclined rectangular waveguide in the middle of the cavity body.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

A Ku-Band Contiguous Multiplexer Employing Low-Loss, Odd-Order, Mixed Dual-Triple Mode Cavity Filters

M. Pley, +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a Ku-band, 3-channel contiguous multiplexer was developed using 5-pole quazi-elliptic function filters, realized as a cascade of dual-and triple-mode cavities operating in the higher order TE/sub 113/ and TM/sub 012/ resonant modes.

A circular cavity structure for the efficient CAD of dual mode filters

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel type of circular cavity enabling two orthogonally polarised resonances to be coupled and tuned without using screws is presented, in order to achieve an accurate and efficient electromagnetic modeling, the coupling mechanism is realized by inserting in the middle of the circular cavity a short section of rectangular waveguide at an appropriate inclination angle.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Asymmetric Canonical Dielectric Resonator Filters

TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of realized 6-pole asymmetric canonical (6-4) and 8-pole self-equalized (8-4-2) filters with dual-mode dielectric resonators is discussed.

Asymmetric Realizations for Dual-Mode Bandpass Filters

TL;DR: In this article, two analytic synthesis techniques are presented for even-degree dual-mode in-line prototype networks up to degree 14, where the coupling matrix for the double cross-coupled array, rotational transformations are applied to transform the matrix into the form required for the dualmode inline asymmetric structure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dual-Mode Canonical Waveguide Filters

TL;DR: In this article, a new form of dual-mode narrowband pass waveguide cavity filter is introduced, which can be constructed from either dual mode circular or square waveguide cavities, and can realize the optimum transfer functions.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

An Exact Solution for a Six-Cavity Dual-Mode Elliptic Bandpass Filter

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis and realization of a six-cavity dual-TE/sub 101/-mode bandpass filter exhibiting all four theoretically possible attenuation poles at finite frequencies is described.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Dual Mode Canonical Waveguide Filters

A.E. Atia, +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a dual mode circular waveguide cavity structure is proposed to realize the general class of coupled cavity transfer functions, including the exact elliptic function response and the linear phase and arbitrary phase responses.
