TLDR
Comparisons of the mesiodistal crown diameters between population groups showed that Jordanians have tooth sizes close to those of Iraqis, but significantly larger than those of Yemenite-Jews, Caucasians and Chinese.

Single tooth bite forces in healthy young adults

TL;DR: In this paper, a new single tooth strain-gauge transducer was used in 52 healthy young adults (36 men, 16 women) with a single implant oral rehabilitation.

Univariate sex dimorphism in the Nepalese dentition and the use of discriminant functions in gender assessment.

TL;DR: It is inferred that large-scale statistically significant univariate differences are not a prerequisite for sex assessment, and discriminant functions were developed considering the possibility of missing teeth and/or jaws in forensic scenarios to facilitate sex classification.

Radiographic evaluation of mandibular third molar eruption space.

TL;DR: The most significant variable associated with third molar impaction is inadequate space, and the former was inversely associated with retromolar space.

Tooth Size Discrepancies and Arch Parameters among Different Malocclusions in a Jordanian Sample

TL;DR: Tooth size differences were found between right and left sides, between females and males, and between the different malocclusions in a Jordanian sample.

Sexual dimorphism in permanent teeth of modern Greeks

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the degree of sexual dimorphism in permanent teeth of modern Greeks and found that males have bigger teeth than females and in 65 out of 88 dimensions measured, male teeth exceeded female teeth significantly (P < 0.05).

Genetic Control of Sexual Dimorphism in Tooth Size

TL;DR: Testing these various hypotheses would enable us to go beyond the simple computation of sexual dimorphism in tooth size and beyond population and species comparisons to the analysis of factors controlling the numbers of sex differences.

A biometric study of tooth size and dental crowding

TL;DR: The sum of mesiodistal widths of teeth, in addition to the arch length analysis, should be considered in formulating an orthodontic treatment plan for patients with good tooth alignment and patients with crowded dental arches.

Heritability of permanent tooth size

TL;DR: Although the findings confirm a relatively strong genetic component, they emphasise the importance of non-genetic influences in the determination of tooth size variability, and suggest the need for further research on this topic.
