Coordinated circadian timing through the integration of local inputs in Arabidopsis thaliana.
Mark Greenwood,Mirela Domijan,Peter D. Gould,Anthony Hall,James C. W. Locke,James C. W. Locke +5 more
TL;DR: The results reveal that plant clocks can be set locally by organ-specific inputs but coordinated globally via spatial waves of clock gene expression, which are generated by the organ specificity of inputs into the clock.
Journal ArticleDOI
Performance of the Rossby Centre regional atmospheric model in Southern Sweden: comparison of simulated and observed precipitation
TL;DR: In this article, two climate model simulations made with the Rossby Centre regional Atmospheric model version 1 (RCA1) are evaluated for the precipitation climate in Scania, southernmost Sweden.

High resolution spatio-temporal modelling of solar photovoltaic potential for tropical islands: Case of Mauritius
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an adapted mathematical formula to theoretically estimate the electricity production from photovoltaic systems on the island on the temporal basis, where the multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) analysis coupled to Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) have been used to model the solar photoprocessor potential of the island from a set of social, technical, legal, environmental and climatological factors.

Scale in object and process ontologies
Femke Reitsma,Thomas Bittner +1 more
TL;DR: A new perspective on the concept of scale is presented by considering it within two complementary ontological views, SNAP and SPAN, which are found to differ between the two ontologies.
Journal ArticleDOI
The potential of cellular network infrastructures for sudden rainfall monitoring in dry climate regions
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented the results of two different rainfall events occurred in these regions and showed that the microwave system measured precipitation between at least 50min and at least 1h and 40min before each of the sparse rain gauges.
