Neoagarobiose, a disaccharide, showed a higher hygroscopic ability than glycerol or hyaluronic acid, typical moisturizing reagents. Beside, neoagarobiose whitened B16 murine melanoma cells, and showed low cytotoxicity. Therefore neoagarobiose was a rare reagent showing both moisturizing and whitening effects.read more
