In this paper, the magnetic moments of Co atom in Fe-Co-Ni alloys have been determined over whole concentration range of the fcc structure by polarized neutron diffuse scattering experiment.
Abstract
The magnetic moments of Co atom in Fe–Co–Ni alloys have been determined over whole concentration range of the fcc structure by polarized neutron diffuse scattering experiment. The results support qualitatively the theoretical calculations under the coherent potential approximation. The magnetic moments of Fe atoms have also been obtained in the alloys by means of Mossbauer effect. The results lie in between the theoretical values obtained either by the coherent potential or by the rigid band approximation.

Hyperfine interactions in amorphous Co70−xNixFe5Si15B10 studied by the Mössbauer technique

TL;DR: In this paper, the magnetic hyperfine field distributions, p(H ), as well as average values of the quadrupole splitting and isomer shift measured at room temperature are presented in amorphous Co 70− x Ni x Fe 5 Si 15 B 10 alloys by means of the Mossbauer spectroscopy technique.

An Application of the Coherent Potential Approximation to Ferromagnetic Alloys

TL;DR: In this paper, an application of the coherent potential approximation (CPA) to ferromagnetic alloys is discussed on the basis of a non-degenerate tight-binding model and the intraatomic coulomb interaction is taken into account selfconsistently within the framework of the Hartree-Fock approximation.

Magnetic Moments and the Degree of Order in Cobalt-Nickel Alloys

M F Collins, +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the magnetic moments at cobalt and nickel sites were measured and a search for ordering effects in the alloys was made but it appears that randomness prevails independently of previous heat treatment, and suggestions in the literature of an ordered compound CoNi3 have not been confirmed.
